I have been wondering for quite some time about the future of 1983: Doomsday (in the timeline, not in real life), and I was wondering what thoughts other althistorians had on the subject.

I don't think there are any updated populations.
Tech advancement is most likely the ANZC (Aussie+NZ+a few more places), with the SAC (South American coalition) right behind.
The ANZC is not the sole superpower, and the SAC bloc, as well as the Siberian CSTO are also very powerful.
The Unites States in Australia is nothing more than an administration in exile. It's a few people, and the number of Americans in Australia is overstated, as most arrived there via the travels of the Nimitz. If any country has a large American expat community, it's Mexico, which is almost bilingual like Canada. There, Americans are not as integrated and have American culture too.
Yeah, nobody does Doomsday anymore. It is sad.
There really aren't any superpowers. The most powerful countries/unions/alliances are the Union of Sovereign Socialist Republics, the Commonwealth of Australia and New Zealand, the South American Confederation, the Atlantic Defense Coalition, and the West African Union.
Individual countries: USSR, CANZ, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, UAR, Colombia.
The United States in Australia dissolved in the mid 1990's, and the USA based out of Torrington, WY seems to have been recognized as the official successor state to the USA, based on documents passed between the CANZ and USA in the early 2010's.
The USS Carl Vinson was the ship that arrived in Australia, not the Nimitz.

That TL is still active, but has declined sharply in editing, sad.

Not for several years.
It is possible that Colombia has become more powerful since cities like Bogota or Medellin are large, and Colombia has a good army and a good industry
and its infrastructure is intact.
places like neonotia or Roma in georgia or some southern states are interested in joining the United States I was thinking especially in Texas that I think it is possible since there are many people who love the United States I think it may be possible if a better diplomacy is handled
Those are too far away to realistically rejoin, and Texas always had an independent streak to itself. So realistically, no, these places would not join the reformed US in the Rockies.
I know about that but maybe it is possible with the improvements in communication and transportation maybe some nations on the east coast besides that maybe lincoln will join the united states even Jefferson is possible to join
By the time they get to the East Coast, the East Coast will have their own identity. Ditto for the Midwest etc. Not everyone worships America, and with higher death rates post-DD, more people will be younger and born after the US has fallen. Unlikely. Only few states in the immediate vicinity of the US in Torrington would consider joining. It's unlikely to be a trend across the US.
