As fans of alt history, just wanted to know your general opinion of which ones are more overused and which aren't.

Overated - Axis winning WW2. It's so overdone at this point that I'm pretty sure half of all alternate history works are just about the Nazis winning the war. The CSA winning the Civil War is a bit less overdone, but still pretty common and often unrealistic. Same goes for the Central Powers winning WW1.
Underrated - Alexander living longer and stabilizing his empire, Aztecs or Incas surviving, different countries becoming superpowers rather than the USA, or pop culture alternate history.
Overrated: Nazi WW2 victory. I mean, I don't hate this, but it's getting to a point where it's getting overused. It's just the same loop. No creativity. Same thing for USSR winning Cold War, Central Power WW1 victory, and Roman Empire staying alive.
Underrated: A post apocilypse where the black death killed half of the world, religion never existing, and Furries taking over humanity.
Furries doing WHAT @GrandEmperess2109
Overrated: Germany winning "x" war and subsequently dominating Europe/World. Soviets winning the Cold War. British Empire remaining. United Ireland (I'm Irish btw). CSA victory in the American Civil War. Scotland being independent.
Underrated: Uncolonised African states being portrayed realistically, other countries becoming superpowers apart from USA, Russia, China and Germany. New/different religions developing
I join the general sentiment that Axis Victory is a bit overdone, especially since there is often not a lot of interesting division between these timelines.
Underrated: Pop Culture Timelines Not only are they a nice change of pace from the usual war focus of Althistory, but they can be fairly challenging to write if you are trying to be at least a bit realistic with how the POD affects the creative output and the entertainment industry at large.
CSA Civil War Victory. They always end with the CSA abolishing slavery anyways, so their existence as a state isn’t justified, as they’re practically the same as the USA.
It’s like having East Germany abandon communism.
Maybe I could make a timeline where Gorbachev, for some reason, wins the election in 1996 instead of Yeltsin, don't know how, but it would be funny.
What do you think?
