@WeinlandCrafter yeah. that can work
@WeinlandCrafter @JupiterboyLuffy Im on Ipad so idk if the infobox works for me
I just edited the page now to make a French victory. Now I need to know when Korea would be decolonised in this timeline. My proposals are sometime in the 1910s, when Japan would take Korea from France, or sometime after 1954, After the 1st Indochina War.
@WeinlandCrafter Y'know what? Maybe we can work on this AU together!
What I want to know now is how Korea would've been free from France.
@DipperXander12345 Sure, I'll be a contributor for your AU!
In your AU, after France loses control of Korea, does Korea become its own nation or fall under another nation's control/influence. The ways Korea can get freedom changes dramatically depending on which of those two options you want.
Also, is it fine if I add the AU's name (which I assume is "DipperXander’s Alternate Korea") to the page's title just so it follows the wiki's conventions? And, can I also add a category to the page?
@WeinlandCrafter Thats what im wondering, I couldn't decide what happens after France loses control to Korea, nor when(I initially decided 1910, But now im considering a bit later, maybe even until the late '40s-mid '60s).
Also, you can add the AU's name to the page's title.
@DipperXander12345 Ok, well if you do have it become in the 40s-60s, an idea that comes to mind is that; Japan occupies Korea during WW2, and like in Indonesia, installs local rulers which grows the independence movement after the war is over, and maybe another war is fought like in Indochina or Algeria which ends in Korean independence.
If you do stick with 1910, I'd need more time to think on how Korean freedom happens.
@WeinlandCrafter Yeah, that's a good idea!
I think a Korean War of Independence would be heavily motivated from the 1st Indochina war, and could take place from the late '40s to mid '50s. I also think Japanese occupation of Korea in this timeline would happen sometime before WW2(maybe 1937).
Although, with what I meant with sticking with 1910 is that Japan invades French Korea like what happened in our universe.
I do wonder tho, If France colonised korea would there still be a Korean war?
@DipperXander12345 If you go with the 1937 Japanese invasion, and then France gets Korea back after WW2, and Korea wins independence, the Korean War might instead happen but in the late 50s or 60s being a Cold War proxy-war, like Vietnam.
If Japan invades Korea in 1910 and wins, then after WW2 maybe Korea is still split between the USSR and the US and the Korean War still happens like in our own world.
What do you think?
