I'm working on a timeline where the House of Liechtenstein gets the Greek throne during the 1832 London Conference and accepts the Russian offer for Alaska, thus sparking a colonial empire that would encompass OTL Italian Somaliland, Socrota, Attu Island, Alaska, Libya, Syria, Antioch, Turkey, Kurdistan, Greater Armenia, Crimea, and Azerbijian. I'd be very interested in working with you!

Also another thought: I think the Greece-North Macedonia name squabble would be a good guideline for a Romania-Rumania name conflict. Maybe Rumania changes it's formal name to North Rumania due to Romanian objections to just Rumania?

Russia is winning. Ukraine now has 200k KIA and the Russian armed forces themselves only have 20k KIA. (Mostly because Russia uses Wagner and/or Donbas militians and Chechens as fronline troops. Total Russia and allies KIA are prolly closer to 60 to 75k) Also, Russia has 500k conscipts trianing in Kursk and Belogrod rn. What I think is gonna happen is Russia smashes those 500k into Kharkiv sometime this summer or maybe fall, and maybe a northern front of around 60k? Least thats what I would do if I were the Russians. Also note that the Pentagon leaks show tons of CIA on the ground in Ukraine, and even the Western governments have admitted they wont be able to keep aid up much longer. Ukraine cannot win a war against Russia, and the end result will probably be a neutral buffer state that cant join NATO, and Russia will keep its 4 annexed oblasts because any Russian leader that willingly withdrew would get couped in a microsecond. Not to mention the main reson Russia started this whole war was keeping Ukraine out of Nato. I also explained in another comment why Ukraine getting Crimea is completely impossible. I'd like to know if you have any objections to this so we can keep this dicussion going.

@Trexteen Ok, thanks for the clarification. Though how do you have Ukraine getting Crimea back? Russia has near absolute naval superiority and Crimea is more Island than peninsula tbh, only 3 narrow strips of beach and 2 roads connecting it to the mainland. Russia could just blow up the beach strips and any amphibious landing would be basically impossible. And even if you think that would somehow all be bypassed, if Russia is weak enough to lose Crimea, Georgia would join in a heartbeat.

I have always said this, but I think that a surviving Byzantine Empire would always either be called Greece or Romania. (The h would probably never be added.) As for Romania OTL? Probably either Moldovan, Moldavian, or Rumanian. (Which is the German spelling that was pretty popular back then, and even Whatifalthist over on Youtube uses Rumania.)

Ok, so, a few questions. The first two questions are, how Ukraine is in NATO, since currently the Western military industrial complex has worn itself out and Russia is winning (main reason Russia started this whole war was keeping Ukraine out of Nato)

Secondly, Why is Haiti in NATO? And I also think if Russia was weak enough to let Ukraine join Nato, that Georgia would join too and maybe also Azerbaijan might join too if Serbia joins (Key anti-Iran ally and would give Nato access to the Caspian) And maybe Israel, too. Other than those few nitpicks, really good senario!

Yes! I have the exact same problem! The Hoi4 provinces map helped a little, but I still feel very restricted, i.e. trying to give Texas it's old borders back is impossible
