If I want to start my own timeline are there requirements I have to meet first? Do I need permission?
What's on your mind?
Maybe since my timeline is new and it really needs some more attention in a positive way, can one of you maybe put an date from my timeline In the trees in the On this day project as an way to get my timeline some quaint positive attention, that would mean a lot, thanks again for your kind consideration. :)
Which article has the most headings (those little things you click to go to a certain section of the article) that is not a map game and about a person? Cuz my article about Nicholas II has 81-82 headings.
What is the longest article in the entire wiki? Just wondering 'cuz my article on Nicholas II has 115,000 bytes (this is depending on bytes).
Is it ok if i make a page over my alternate country? It has a whole different system of other nations. If you want i can explain it. In the comments.
Hi, I have been writing alternate history of an old Brythonic civilisation (which existed in my county) that in my alternate history managed to stay seperate from the English and made it into the modern day, I was wondering if I am actually allowed to just write an article? Do I have to apply for something or does it have to be moderated or something? And if I am good to write an article how do I actually do that?
I've noticed that one of the Alternate History articles (not mine) called the American Empire has been altered. I've reported it on the talk page and saw that the last person claimed that he/she changed it.
I'm not sure how I would get the creator's attention on the matter, possibly absent from the wiki site. Is there another way to deal with this vandalism?
How do I change the color of a tables background, the picture used is from another timeline, and im trying to figure this out because im working on a list of wars in my Fredericks Nightmare timeline.
It's been over ten years since I've been on here and I've improved my writing skills (with help from Grammarly) as well as learned more about alternate histories and paying close attention to points of divergences.
And because of this, I've lost interest in the alternate histories I've written back in 2010 after I realized how bad they are (some of the comments, as well as some alterations, are proof enough).
Anyway, I've tried to delete the pages but unable to do so. Does anyone know how to have any unwanted pages deleted?
I'm new to this community, can anyone help me?
Hey, can you hire people to work on your timelines?
Im currently working on a list of wars involving countries in my timeline, and I saw you could change a tables background color, how do you do it?
I'm currently working on my own timeline on the wiki and I'm finding it quite difficult to fully change history as I feel like everything, while noticeably very different, still follows basically the same beats (World War I, II, the Cold War between Capitalism and Commies), and I just wondered how y'all work to make everything different? For reference, my ATL is this:
I thank anyone willing to respond and give their two cents :)
Good evening everyone!
So, I've been having an issue across Fandom for a few months now where I cannot put images in infoboxes. The normal little popup that allows you to upload a file does not appear anymore and I was wondering if anyone had any solutions!
Hey guys I'm new here and I just want to ask how do you make maps. Is there some kind of website or app to make them. thanks

Hey mods, For some reason if you insert a infobox (Or at least in my case) it will not allow you to create any sentences (Basically) and if you add in a bulletin or a paragraph and try to delete something it deletes the infobox instead, and if you try to add in a link it wont allow you to! can you help me! please it is soo infuriating! thank you!
I've been reading all the pages like the Conventions, and I can't find any way to create my own custom notice (the box at the top of the page saying something like, 'This page has been nominated for deletion'). Is there any way to do so?
I’m writing a story which takes place in a modern — near future or near past, I want it to be unclear — but bleak America which is still entangled in a Cold War with Russia. Unfortunately, I’m not a historian and I’m not writing an alternate history book — this all takes place pretty much in the background and is not the focus or main plot line of the book. But I still need to flesh it out a bit which is why I need your help.
Here is how I’m picturing the general feel, and maybe you could help me out with the details:
-In my story, technology is not quite as advanced as it is nowadays—so no social media.
-I don’t want the president to be the main powerful character — I want some other guy to be the one who’s really running things behind the scenes (kind of like Putin’s Russia—even when he’s not president he’s still kind of the president). I’m thinking maybe the head of a powerful military corporation? Would that work? A shrewd megalomaniac, but a logical, levelheaded one. A benign dictator if you will.
-My story takes place in America, but it’s a cold, grey, bleak America — there’s always the threat of nuclear war. So I want there to be some kind of conflict going on between the two countries—like the 60s Cuban Missile Crisis or a dispute over some country.
If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. As I said, it’s not the focus of my story, this is all very much in the background, but I still want the world to be fully fleshed out. I’ve already written around 500 pages, the only thing stopping me from writing more is this.
