The Kingdom of Sardinia is a country located in southern Europe. The capital is Rome.

Early Kingdom[]

The Kingdom of Sardinia, also known as Piedmont-Sardinia or Sardinia-Piedmont, was the name given to the possessions of the House of Savoy in 1720, when the crown of Sardinia was awarded by the Treaty of The Hague to Duke Victor Amadeus II of Savoy to compensate him for the loss of the crown of Sicily to Austria, retaining in that way the title of king. Besides Sardinia, the new kingdom included Savoy, Piedmont and Nice.

Sardinia after the Eight Years' War[]

Sardinia allied itself with the Empire of France and Catalonia. Though they did not fight in the main theater, they fought the War of Italian Unification, defeating the Kingdom of Sicily and uniting the whole "boot" except the Papal States.
