Parthian-Roman Rivalry[]

This period of piece would be shaped by a "cold war" between the Parthian Empire and the Roman Republic. However, overall, the two empires would prosper.

Rise of Julius Caesar[]

However, the governor of the Roman province of Hispania, Julius Caesar, was elected Consul in 60 BC.  His term as Consul was shaped by his remilitarization of Rome. During this term, he conquered Gaul (OTL France) and Germania west of the Rhine. However, when his term ended, in 50 BC, he was recalled to Rome. He arrived in Rome with his legions, causing the Senate to flee and Senator Pompey commanded the loyalist legions, starting the Roman Civil War.
