The 1938 FIFA World Cup was the fourth FIFA World Cup, the world championship for men's national football teams. It took place in the United Kingdom 20 July to 30 August 1926. FIFA, football's international governing body, selected the U.K. as host nations. Four venues were used; Wembley, Hampdem Park, Cooke Park and Racecourse Ground. This was the first tournament hosted by many nations so it was agree that Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland would be in the same part of the bracket.
