The Game

1993.50

Much of the Scandinavian coast is taken by the CSTO forces. After a lengthy siege the city of Stockholm is taken by the Russians. The Scandinavian army regroups and pushes the coastal invaders from Oslo, securing the city as a temporary capital.

The Scandinavian army secures the cities of Malmö and Gothenburg, forcing the Russian soldiers to march re-inforcements to the west of Sweden from Stockholm. Russian forces traveling down Route E4 encounter heavy resistance and are stopped at Jönköping.

After the German victory at the Battle of Ulm, the Allied forces advance through Württemberg-Baden with ease, and the city of Stuttgart is officially liberated. The Germans continue west from Stuttgart and surround the city of Strasburg, on the French border.

A Croatian-Italian (Mostly Lombardy and Venice) force of about 300,000 soldiers crosses over the Italian border into the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. French forces are divided between the two Allied fronts. However, the Allies hope to close the gap between the two armies to protect Geneva and the vulnerable Swiss border. Additional re-inforcements are called to station at Geneva. Swiss forces, under command of Hans Gallman, serving his second term as general, are called to re-inforce the line.

The city of San Francisco is heavily fortified by those still loyal to the Bay Republic. The city’s impressive artillery arrangement rains down upon the invaders. Inside a lack of supplies leaves hundreds of civilians dead, as the city becomes fully dedicated to the war effort.

Strain between Christians and Satanists in San Francisco leads to violence. Christians march through the streets demanding equality. The small protests skyrocket after armed soldiers are ordered to fire upon the protesters. The protests fly out of hand, and eventually many of the starving individuals begin taking up arms to end the current regime, and the war.

In an act of terrorism, several leaders laced with small doses of anthrax begin to be distributed through the mail to politicians and people in the government across Texas. The proclaimed “Anthrax Attacks” already claim a dozen lives within the first few weeks. Many civilians begin to fear for their security. Civil war and terror in the last year cause Texas’ stability to drop to 32.

Brazil reminds Colombia that they never relinquished claim of the Amazon territory, and by claiming our pre-apocalypse territory you are infringing on the 1970 global treaty stating that "you may not claim another nation's infected or quarantined territory”.

This doesn't effect me, but may I ask what treaty this was, and of whom signed it? -Oreo

Since this is a Columbia event, can I ask, How does Columbia have Gauss Weapons? When I google Gauss Weaponry, it either came up with 'Lexicantium' or a Wiki article about a sort of stun gun thing, that the USA is currently considering weaponising, neither of which seem to fit with Columbia having them, so, why do they? Local (talk)

The Heptarchist and Welsh forces under Kevin Dowe rally at Wrexham in preparation for the liberation of Northwest Wales. Severely outgunned, the rebels disperse into the countryside and into the nearby national park of Snowdonia. During the Battle of Snowdonia, the rebels hide out in the national park, holding through relentless English bombings and skirmishes.

Hostilities in Eritrea calm down after the successful Yemeni invasion several months earlier. Some of the locals continue to resist the new government after it was reported that the Yemeni invaders killed hundreds of civilians who resisted the new government.

Chuck Norris is caught spying on Dinetan government buildings. However, before he was caught he escaped, injuring three guards in the process.

Japan: Japan continues to build up the Self Defence Forces and infrastructure is improved. Some of the Maritime Self Defence Force still continues to patrol around Japan. Synthpop, Electro, Techno, and Trance continue to rise in popularity. The Republic of Kyushu continues to rebuild the island. The liberation of Kerala continues. Tatsunori Katsumata continues creating the next Touhou game, 東方幻想郷　～ Lotus Land Story. Star Wars Two is banned in Japan due to much Anti-American sentiment in the nation. Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Party rises in popularity. The Tōhōkai also rises more in popularity, but not as much as the Social Democrats.

• Greater Vietnamese Republic Diplomacy : We ask Japan if we could have the schematic for the Japanese WWII Yamato-class battleship.

• Japan Diplomacy: Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone agrees and gives them a copy.

Falklands: We immediately stop all trade with Texas and refuse any ship that has entered Texan waters or has been in contact with Texans. SECRET: We begin to fund Kevin Dowe's rebels, and fund pro-UR rebels in London.

Republic of Susquehanna: Trade with the Russian government increases and a bank of 100 solar panels are set up in the mountains. The goal of the nation is to be carbon neutral by 2001. The government recalls all but 200 peacekeepers from Scandinavia. Infrastructure is worked on, and highways and railways are refurbished and repaired. Temporary housing is constructed for refugees and the Texan government. The Capitol building in Snyder County is re-designated the Texan Government in exile Capitol, along with the Texan embassy. The Montour-Delong fair is held. It has vendors, games, animals, tractor pulls, and other events.

Vietnam : Laos and Cambodia are now unified with Vietnam. We changed our name to the “The Greater Vietnamese Republic”. We successfully continue to liberate Thailand from the infection and start to unify Thailand with The Greater Vietnamese Republic like we did with Laos and Cambodia. We start unifying the former occupied Chinese province Hainan into the Greater Vietnamese Republic. We also unified the Paracel Island with The greater Vietnamese Republic. We change our flag to the original South Vietnam Flag due to our recent regime change. We upgrade our industry to 1.25. We train 1000 soldiers, build ten MiG-23v’s, two Lạc Long Quân-destroyer 3 giếng mỏ.

• Wu D: Please leave Hainan Island, Wu has already claimed the Island a dozen years ago. Please leave the island now to prevent further hostilities. However, Wu would like to ask for a trade agreement and alliance with Vietnam.

Russia: Because of Operation: Jack Hammer the Scandinavian eastern front has surrendered due to lack of supplies and troops to defend the area. Finland is now under CSTO control. With the Scandinavian eastern front gone, troops can now easily mobilize and be resupplied. However, the Scandinavian western front in western Norway and Sweden still remain somewhat strong, but with their navy destroyed their backs are against the North Sea and uncovered. A joint-CSTO operation called Operation: Green Day has commenced to take this Oslo, Malmö, Copenhagen, and Gothenberg by a massive amphibious assault with naval support, about one million troops are committed to Operation: Green Day; if successful a new front will be established ranging from Oslo to Gothenburg which will push back the Scandinavian military and completely surround them from all sides. Furthermore, this will also capture Denmark from the Scandinavian military, which are still about 50,000 strong in the state. However, the whole Scandinavian western front is about 225,000 troops with 50,000 in Denmark. The success of Operation: Green Day will most likely be the final push for the destruction of the Scandinavian military, where they are surrounded on all sides. This operation will also capture the town Jonkoping which is halting our advance deep into Sweden from the south. But the town is now surrounded from three sides due to the Scandinavian eastern front collapse. A treaty is currently being made for the surrender of the Scandinavian military after Operation: Green Day. (Algorithm for Op: Green Day coming soon). Protestors on the streets of Moscow have created a new humanitarian civil rights group named Freedom, with the objective of freeing those who have been wrongfully stripped of their civil rights in Scandinavia. Due to our need of troops to fight the surrounded Scandinavian forces, Freedom is given the permission to aid those who harmfully treated in Scandinavia. Humanitarian supplies are sent to Freedom for free by the Russian government or from donations from various charities across Russia. Shipyards have started to focus more on the construction of cruisers and submarines for the Russian navy, about five Kara-Class cruisers and seven Slava-Class cruisers, five Alfa-Class submarines, 13 Kilo-Class submarines, and five of the new Red-October-Class submarines. All Foxtrot-Class submarines of the Russian navy are currently decommissioned and being scrapped or sunk as targets. Factories have built about 400 T-90 tanks. We upgrade our navy to 3.00.

Canada: Our army is still taking Greenland by force. We are going to cut all fuel lines to the U.S.A and have fully secured the border between Canada and the U.S.A, People have questioned us if this is a good idea but we as a country know what is best for us. We have upgraded our industry from 2 to 2.25 and have started a study on more efficient ways of electricity instead of factories making electricity. We have developed a new destroyer class called Golem with Long range cannons up to 60km out and short cannons for battles on the sea that have a range up to 40 km and are currently making sure no one enters Canada with the help of four submarines. Also, we have started our Commonwealth embassy for CTSO needs. Commonwealth is not - I repeat NOT - sockpuppeting me only helping me with the lines. Also, Canadian forces have successfully taken Greenland by force on an outstanding battle using the artillery from nearby ships, we thank Commonwealth for the extra troops and supplies.

• Canada: Last turn I asked for an algorithm on Greenland. I have with me 10,000 and 5000 from Commonwealth. They (Greenland) have 5000 spread across Greenland and I did not get on :(.

Commonwealth: We continue to support the CSTO in their liberation/conquest of Scandinavia. Troops remain in Greenland to assist with the Canadian Invasion there. We praise Vietnam for officially adopting the democratic system. We wish to exchange embassies with all CSTO nations that do not already have an embassy to the Commonwealth. Development and expansion continues.

South Africa: Stage Three of the Plan continues in full swing. In Gabon, oil continues to create a boom and all the money gained and not used up is stored to act as a reserve in case a crash takes place or for such other eventuality. Dissent in the western side of the Congo is continuously funded by Gabon, and in turn the dissenters inspire more to break away with congo and join a nation where jobs are plentiful and life is easier. It is hoped that the dissent will cause some protest to rule and hopefully an independence movement. As trains carry people across the colony, small settlements boom. More children are born to settler families. The small airports begin to become busy hubs as aircraft continue to fly in and take off. The large airport at the capital of the colony continues construction at break-neck speed. Phlaxicortin-X continues to be used and helps make more friendly Zombies. The Cheetah IIIA4 continues production at a good speed, while the Cheetah IIIA2 is produced in lower numbers to to its greater complexity. the second Boer Migration is less evident now, yet families can still be seen heading inland to set up new lives. The number of children being born continues to grow, and the population of South Africa increases by three million. Food remains plentiful and jungles grow in the areas freed up for it, with endangered wildlife flourishing. The nation reports that almost 80% of its population follows Protestantism as a religion. All of the remainder of Zambia not under the control of South Africa is cleared out and the area is established as a vassal. Lightly populated, a drive is made for migrants, mostly black, to move in and work in the Republic of Zambia (South Zambia). North Zambia begins to be made into a puppet state with more money being pumped into North Zambia's infrastructure. The navy continues to develop in secret a few advanced submarines, with the first diesel run prototypes setting off for trials. As a result, the navy is upgraded by 0.25. The army quickly injects Phlaxicortin-X to the hordes they encounter, helping to keep worker numbers high. The area begins to be rebuilt by these workers. The "Sud Afrikaan Katushas" are used to great effectiveness against hostile forces in India, as the army continues its march inward. The army begins to be involved in clearing up operations all around their areas of control, effectively becoming a policing force in India. Project Clean continues at a good pace, with construction of the reactors taking place. It is hoped the first experimental ones will be ready in a few months. With the top minds of both the Union and the United Republics working on the project, the technical and theoretical side progresses much faster. The technology is found to be extremely viable and could be a much safer alternative to even diesel fuel in the long run. DASO test launch an unmanned capsule into space. It is the first of many prototypes to be launched and out of all the designs, one seems to be the best. Satellites continue to be launched, helping to set up a network. A moon landing is planned to take place soon after the manned mission into space. Skyscraper construction continues, with the skyscraper height being 975m. It will be a huge feat, but if accomplished, it will become the tallest buildings in the world. The South African troops are diverted to the Scandinavian front, helping the Russians. Yet they are needed more in Germany, and more troops are sent to help the Dutch.

Netherlands: The Dutch and South Africa with them, continue to fund Airbus and many factories are constructed around the nation as white South Africans arrive to start a new life in their ancestral birthplace. The nation receives a large number of Cheetah III, upgrading army by 0.25. Old flood systems continue to be upgraded while some new ones are constructed. Most of the troops are sent to fight France, as they are considered a greater threat to security at the present moment. Troops still fight on in small numbers in Denmark however. Their aim is to open up trapped troops to ammunition and food and to help as many fight on as possible.

Texas sees the end of the war, but not for the government. Wieland Norris denies responsibility for the attacks. The reduced trade and deaths of the majority of the government leads to disarray. Houston falls. Infected people are decontaminated and hospitals begin treatment. An anonymous Rezzurrectionist says in a video message, "first anthrax, then the Zombie blessing", leading the government to prepare for a Zombie outbreak.

• RoS Diplomacy: Offers to host the government in exile, and supplies to retake your nation. Gas masks are offered to the civilian population of Texas.

Dinetah (posting for Bfoxius): Begins a manhunt for Chuck Norris. More aid continues to be sent to the rightful government of Texas, though all incoming mail is screened first. Warchief Electronics and Sonoran Microsystems continue their rivalry, with Warchief able to secure a product placement deal for a recently announced horror movie from the makers of Demonic Hillbilly Flamethrower Invasion.

GUE: We are still requesting countries to join us to unite this part of the world. We increase our army to 1.50. We move our forces away from the Serbian border to ease tension and help them make a decision. We are offering large amounts of technology and military to new joining nations. Wu: Army builds up and modernizes. 1,800,000 soldiers are trained and are practicing and drilling on the Wu Northern border. Surplus food from farms is stored and secretly sent to Northern provinces. More guns and tanks are built. Spies are sent to Manchuria and Mongolia as some submarines are seen in Daliang. Begins secretly spreading Wu propaganda in the nation of Manchuria and Mongolia. 13 黑鸢-4 are built. Asks for an alliance with South Korea and Vietnam. 30,000 soldiers enter Hainan Island, as well as half of the Wu navy. Asks Vietnam to leave Hainan Island to prevent hostilities. More Indian territory is taken and cleared of Zombies. Three new Zhilong submarines are built. Continues lowering the price of life necessities as well as home electronics. Government builds houses in Xuzhou and "deports" homeless people in Beijing, Shanghai and other metropolis to Xuzhou for a chance of work, house and family. Jackie Chan becomes a spy of the Republic of Wu and is sent to Manchuria. Continues lowering the price of life necessities.

• Russian Diplomacy: Hainan Island doesn't belong to you, though,. Also, deporting people is against Article 43, Article 45, and partially breaks Article 51 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. (This is an OOC question, why are you giving your citizens free housing? I thought your government is a Federal Republic not Socialism.)

Northern California: Intervenes in the name of the PRCC (Presidential Republic of Central California) on the side of the Christian protesters and rebels taking up arms to end the 'caliphate'. Relief goods, in the form of food, water, and clothing is secretly transported with the ammunition for the rebels to San Francisco. Meanwhile, a civilian junta names Derick McGuinel (who defected to NoCal after surrendering to them) provisional president of the PRCC, until peace is established so elections can be held. Meanwhile, because the novel "Great Deceit", there were plans to make it to series of movies, the first of the set entitled Great Deceit: Genesis of Pain, which was to be shown in local theaters, and if possible, to have Dinetah as the first area to screen the movie.

United Islamic Caliphate: The government begins to deny killing the civilians, saying that it was actually intensely patriotic, yet also mentally unstable Eritrean soldiers. They claimed that they lost everything after the war due to their failure to cope with reality, and fired randomly on individuals who they claimed were part of the "Islamic Conspiracy". Pamphlets distributed in Eritrea by the government of the UIC claim the same thing. The reconstruction begins in Eritrea, already at high levels due to experiance of the UIC with working on infrastructure, and as such, the industry level moves to 1.75. The navy returns to their designated dry docks to begin repairs. Detachments of soldiers and tanks remain in Eritrea to maintain order and enforce the "loose" martial law, until reconstruction is finished. Thirty new members are added to the council after their election. It went mostly to As'ad's liking, with twenty-three of the councilmen to his liking. However, seven of them we're not who he wanted elected, and three of those seven are almost anti-UIC.

RoS Diplomacy: We support the UIC Government with the defense of their nation. We allow the UIC to use the RoS Naval facilities to repair their fleet. We ask for UIC support with the Texan Situation.

Korea (1993.5): With Operation: War on Proverty going smoothly the Korean government launches a new operation. Operation: War on Human Trafficking. As a result of this, the navy is upgraded.

United Republics: Continues to influence Brazil. In India the three republics continue to be under the UR sphere of influence, especially Goa. URSA launches the Prima rover to the moon as a test run for launching a similar rover to Mars. UR continues to improve infrastructure and re-inforces Queen Maud Land, Peter Isle, and Bouvet Island with simple defenses. URSA supplies Artimis Lunar Base and URSA Space Station. UR continues development of high speed rail in the UR, as well as solar energy, and Project Clean. UR invests money in education system. Adds an insulation of various alloys and metals to the Falklands-Class supercarrier in hopes to create an anti-sub tech.  

Sul: Continues to develop infrastructure and high speed rail. Ships in UR tech solar panels. Culture becomes closer to the UR with mixed Spanish, Portuguese and European dialects.

United Mediter: Completes Falklands-Class supercarrier with additional metal alloys. Focuses on bonding the people. More people are trained for reserves and settlement in S. Italy is complete. Begins to focus on trade with Malta. 

Portugal: Infrastructure and energy programs continue. Satellite benefits are great. Mixture of Spanish-Portuguese cultures and languages continue. Education focus comes from the government. Considers a union of Iberia. 

Granada: Infrastructure and energy programs continue. Satellite benefits are great. Mixture of Spanish-Portuguese cultures and languages continue. Continues to propose the one nation - Iberia. 

Chan Santa Cruz: With mixed messages coming out of Texas we continue in our present scheme of dropping leaflets. However, we also begin to drop live bombs on the rebel base in the west and shelling coastal rebel bases. We apologise to Texas but state that it must be done to turn the tide. The military remains on guard against Colombia. We focus on unity, with the war in Texas providing ample propaganda. The navy is upgraded to cope with both the shelling and the defensive patrols of our waters. We call for ULN intervention in Texas.

1993.75

After successfully clearing the route between Malmö and Gothenburg, the Scandinavian forces are stationed to defend the south of Sweden, while a large majority of the Scandinavian forces are concentrated at Jönköping, where a bloody battle ensues.

In the north of Finland the Russian invaders finally break past Lake Inari. Scandinavian forces, comprised almost entirely of Finnish soldiers, attempt to halt the Russians before Route 4.

The French city of Strasburg is surrounded by Allied forces under the command of Hans Gallman and Franz Aehrenthal. Artillery from Austria and the CSTO is stationed along the border to disrupt all supply lines going into the city.

In Texas the government begins to vilify the ‘Norris Brothers’ as terrorists and criminals through propaganda. Chuck Norris in particular is viewed by some Texan citizens as the mastermind of the terrorism across the nation, including the deadly anthrax attacks earlier that year.

The Allied army in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur begins sieging the French city of Marseille, dividing French defenses between north and south.

With the majority of the soldiers on the San Francisco front malnourished or lacking supplies, soldiers begin to surrender to the provisional government. The hard-line Satanists and cult of personality of the Bay Republic leaders orders deserters to be killed, further dividing the Bay Republic army. Dug-in entrenchments and strategic points thought to be firmly intact are left abandon after conflict breaks out inside.

The San Francisco rebels manage to take almost all of San Francisco, allowing Northern Californian soldiers to enter. Triumphantly, the rebels climb the defenses and raise their flag on top of the damaged Golden Gate Bridge.

Hardened and experienced from the long battle in Snowdonia, the Heptarchists continue their assault on Anglesey. Concurrently the Welsh army manages to liberate all of South West England.

Japan: Japan continues to build up the Self Defence Forces and infrastructure is improved. Some of the Maritime Self Defence Force still continues to patrol around Japan. Synthpop, Electro, Techno, and Trance continue to rise in popularity. The Republic of Kyushu continues to rebuild the island. The liberation of Kerala continues. Tatsunori Katsumata continues creating the next Touhou game, 東方幻想郷　～ Lotus Land Story. Meanwhile, the Liberal Democratic Party begins to decline while the Social Democratic Party rises more in popularity.

Commonwealth: The military withdraws from the French front, seeing that a counter-invasion serves no point. All forces initially sent to Europe are concentrated on the Scandinavian front. Development and expansion continues. Phlaxicortin-X mistings are in full swing across the midwest and India. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.

Russia: Scandinavian forces are now completely surrounded in Sweden, with Norway, and most of Finland captured their backs are facing the Scandinavian Mountains. However, the remaining Finnish troops from the eastern Scandinavian front that haven’t surrendered have started to block the entrance to Route 4 from the Finnish-Swedish border, which has been easily taken after a large combined assault of tanks and helicopters have decimated their makeshift fortifications. Most of the Scandinavian Armed Forces have holed up in Jonkoping which is halting our advance deep into Sweden. Supplies are still being sent by helicopter and by sea, but with Route 4 under our control, tanks and troops entering from Finland are rapidly advancing. Paratroopers from the 45th Detached Reconnaissance have parachuted into the town of Jonkoping, where they’ve used search and destroy tactics, which have decimated Scandinavian emplacements and killing multiple officers, causing disruptions in chain of command. With the chain of command disrupted about 25% of the garrison have deserted from their post and surrendered to the Joint-CSTO forces. An operation known as Operation: Blackout has started, with the objective to capture the last remaining stronghold, where the last of the Scandinavian Armed Forces are holed up. About one million troops are committed to Operation: Black Out; if successful, this will destroy the Scandinavian Armed Forces and end the Scandinavian theater of the Holy Roman War (Algorithm to be made). With the Scandinavians surrounded on three sides by CSTO forces and cornered by the Scandinavian Mountains, either all of the Scandinavian troops will be captured or killed in battle. The last battle of the Scandinavian theater is about to begin. While Operation: Baltic Thunder is being commenced, CSTO forces have captured almost all of Sweden with ease due to their thin lines and lack of communication, organization, and numbers resulting in mass surrenders of large pockets of Scandinavian troops; many of these troops have been sentenced to military prisons in CSTO occupied Sweden. At least all concentration camps have been captured from the Scandinavian forces with ease due to high numbers of deserters. Rehabilitation centers have been built to restore the lives of these people that had their civil rights torn away from them. These rehab centers are funded by the Russian government, the Freedom civil rights group, or by donations from Russian citizens. Shipyards have built about seven Slava-Class cruisers, six Kara-Class cruisers, eleven Red-October-Class submarines, twelve Kilo-Class submarines, two Typhoon-Class submarines, and four Alfa-Class submarines. With the Holy Roman War almost over, the states of the Holy Roman Empire begin advocating for German unification. It is believed that Austria and Germany may be united after the war.

Aided by the Russians the Allies continue into central France. As fighting ensues between the Russians and the French in Paris, the Allies hastily push toward the city to supply the Russians. The cities of Reims and Dijon are secured.

Heavily influenced by the United Republics, Granada votes to unify with Spain. Although some view this as the first steps toward a united Iberian peninsula, the government of Spain stresses that it merely wishes to unify Spain. The new Spanish regime pushes for separation from the UR, which liberated parts of Iberia years earlier. Portugal refuses to unite with Spain.

Satellites begin to report back on conditions of the planet, and so far it is not looking good. A moon rover is tested and will be launched to do to the moon soon. The infantry is best against the helis, the helis are best against the tanks, and the tanks are best against the infantry. The bazookas, weak to all, are the only unit that can take over the other city. Troops move through the area of Yunnan to Sichuan to aid in the liberation. The infected should be driven out of the area in three months. More guns and tanks are built. Spies are sent to Manchuria and Mongolia as some submarines are seen in Daliang. Begins secretly spreading Wu propaganda in the nation of Manchuria and Mongolia. 20 黑鸢-4 are built. Asks for an alliance with South Korea and Vietnam, now that the "Socialist" thing is cleared. More Indian territory is taken and cleared of Zombies. 12 new Zhilong submarines are built. Continues lowering the price of life necessities as well as home electronics. Chan Santa Cruz: With the battle of Port Lavaca lost the navy withdraws, carrying suvivors home. Paradoxically support for the war grows as they arrive, as revenge sentiments run high. The industry is upgraded by 0.25 as people work harder to replace what was lost. The government decides on a new and daring strategy. They paratroop 10,000 soldiers, over a few weeks, into rebel held territory. Around 30% of the planes are lost, with only 7843 soldiers making it through and 94 taken prisoner. Bombing ceases due to the air force being otherwise engaged. However, shore bombardment continues.

Sul: Continues to improve infrastructure and industry capacity. Quality of life of the immigrants improves, now being just below par of those who were already in Sul. Aids UR in its invasion of Vancouver. National interest poors into the 1994 World Cup. 

Portugal: Infuriated with Spain's attempt to only unite Granada and not all of Iberia, begins to train military in case action is needed. Notices continued connection and integration of Spanish and Portuguese culture and language. Focuses on improving infrastructure and education. Supplies and some soldiers are sent to the UR as the invasion of Vancouver begins. 

Granada: Follows Portuguese lead on the matter of Iberian Union. Legislation passes for a union with just Portugal as well, and is awaiting Portuguese response. Wishes for a follow up on the membership of the Canary Islands, invited years ago, with no response. Notices continued connection and integration of Spanish and Portuguese culture and language. Cascadia: Phase I of the New Spokane project is finished. 50% of the city is habitable. The city, which had been overrun by the undead and ultimately largely been destroyed by a fire, has a wall surrounding the area while Cascadian heavy police work to keep the unrepaired ruins from becoming criminal havens. Former Spokane inhabitants move back, bringing the population to 15% of what it was before the Zombie outbreak. Others remain in surviving cities, such as Seattle or Portland, stating that they have since moved on with their lives. Phase II of the New Spokane project begins. The goal is to bring the population of Spokane to 30% of what it once was, a whopping recovery for a town that was long dead... or undead as it were. In Seattle, plans to revamp the national museum of Cascadia are revealed. The idea, originally planned to be a subterranean museum under the Space Needle until it was deemed a risky operation, is to build a monument and museum. In November, the plan is unveiled even more as land near Pike Place is purchased for a massive statue dubbed 'Atlas'.

United States: We sign the Treaty of Salzburg to help end the Holy Roman War. We also express plans to open diplomatic ties with the new nations of Germany and the former Scandinavian nations. Outraged by Canada’s actions, we join the coalition to remove the Canadian government. In co-operation with the ULN and other participating nations, we march 200,000 soldiers into Canada through New York and Michigan. After a short battle to capture the highway toward Ottawa, we push onto Toronto. We find that much of the civilian population is also against the Canadians, after being starved of supplies and imports. The city is successfully take after a short siege, and we continue toward Ottawa. From the east we go through Montreal, and surround Ottawa from the east.

Missiles are easier to shoot down than you think. During the Cold War the use of missile warfare was inevitable. What both sides did (Warsaw PACT and NATO) to prevent missiles from striking was to make something to counteract it. There are multiple systems such as a Close In Weapons System or a CIWS which is a Gatling gun that fires at a very fast rate. The USSR built interceptors, fast jets that are capable of moving faster than Mach 3+ to shoot down missiles. Shooting down ICBM'S or any type of guided missile is plausible up to this point in time. Continues mixture of Portuguese and Spanish culture and language.

Granada: which has closer ties to Portugal then Spain, promotes the idea to Spain of uniting all of Iberia under one government. Asks Gibraltar if they wish to become an Associated State. 

United Med: Continues building ships. Culture continues to form and standard of living improves. A focus on education begins. Again, asks Malta to respond to the UM's offer of taking Malta as an Associated State. Futhermore, continues to develop superior and advanced naval ships. 

Chan Santa Cruz: Support for the war is very strong. Many joining the army, which along with combat experience, means the army upgrades by 0.25. More supplies and troops are sent in. Nordic Germany: Flags are raised as the annexation of Hamburg happens. It finally happens after almost five years. Hamburg joined with 60% of the people's opinion saying join. We continue working on a treaty with Austria and the HRE for German Unification. A game called the Settlers of Catan is released, but different from OTL in that there are Zombies. A ship lands in OTL French Guiana setting up a naval base.

Cascadia: Groundwork for Atlas begins after the land is cleared. Meanwhile, the population of Spokane grows. In response to aggression towards the US, Cascadia stops trading with Canada. War is debated by the Triumvirate and the Senate. The military is expanded, upgraded by 0.25.

South Africa: Stage Three of the Plan continues in full swing. In Gabon, the oil continues to help research into its efficient use. Hybrid engines are tested, but the initial results conclude that the designs are rubbish. As a result, more money is poured into the research and development of new engines. Dissent in the western side of the Congo is continuously funded by Gabon, and pro-South African protesters continue to protest. The large airport finally finishes construction, and is planned to be officially opened soon. Final preparations are completed and the airport will provide the colony with much needed revenue. In the colony, troops monitor incoming and outcoming traffic to make sure no Exes get in and infect the "work force". The fact that the "workers" are still being used is kept a secret from the rest of the populace of South Africa. In South Africa, the Cheetah IIIA4 and Cheetah IIIA2 are produced in large numbers. The number of children being born continues to grow, and the population of South Africa increases by three million. Food remains plentiful and jungles grow in the areas freed up for it, with endangered wildlife flourishing. The order is given to kill all berzerk monkeys on sight, to make sure infecton does not spread. Doctors will also be sent in to make sure that no more monkeys are infected or they will be put down. A huge migration towards the vassal of Mozambique and South Zambia continues as the hysteria spreads in the nation - not the infection itself. North and South Zambia upgrade army by 0.25, while in Mozambique navy is amped up by 0.25. The populace is advised that it is now safe to come out onto the streets and it will be all right. The navy continues to develop in secret a few advanced submarines. With the want of Exes to be treated kindly, the Council decides that the Exes should not be used for manual labour in front of the populace's eyes. As a result, all Exes are rounded up and tken away out of the city. The explanation given to the public is that they will try to be treated. To do this, they begin research on a repair stimulant and the virus destructing medicine. Project Clean continues at a good pace, and the first commercial reactors continue to be constructed all around the country. With the Exes rounded up to secret workcamps all around the nation - the rioting dies down. Yet the research projects are placed at top priority. DASO launched their first manned flypast of the moon - seeing the huge leaps the organisation has taken so far. Information gained is soon analysed by DASO. Satellites continue to provide results about the planet. A moon rover is tested and will be launched to do to the moon soon. Many skyscrapers are finally completed. However, the Exes do not work on them anymore. Star Trek continues to gain hold in South Africa, with Zac Zimmerman stating that the show will begin next year.

Netherlands: The Dutch and South Africa with them, continue to fund Airbus and many new aircraft versions will begin construction in the newly constructed factories. Old flood systems continue to be upgraded while some new ones are constructed.

Commonwealth: Forces continue to take territory along the west coast of Canada. Development and expansion continues. Vigorous research continues.

Falklands: We condemn Chan Santa Cruz for the religiously discriminatory action they have taken against the Rezzurrectionists in Texas, as it is a basic human right to not be persecuted for your religion. We are not Rezzurrectionists ourselves, but they are a religious group, and don't deserve to be discriminated against. It is nearing the end of the 20th century, and we are still reverting to discriminatory behaviour at the slightest opportunity. You make us sick. Meanwhile, we extract the FSF from Canada, as the silos have been gained by the allies, so the brave men and women that held the Canadians back from the deadly plague missiles could be sent back to the Falklands.

• The South Africans are willing to invest heavily in Stanley and make it into a city which could house a million people. This is so that if we have to enact an emergency plan, British refugees may get a "British" place to rebuild their lives.
• Falklands: OK, we can move the current population to the Antarctic cities until the construction work is complete.
• Actually, South Africa states the point of the construction is so that the people are present and businesses earn money from the workers speding money to buy things for their families and such. Plus, we hope to make this a joint project with the people of the Falklands.
• The United Republics reminds the Falklands that east island currently houses a naval base, special ops training facility, and the East Isle Launch Center and Hanger facilities. 
• Falklands: Stanley is not a part of that training facility, and we meant the civilians, as the city will require extensive remodelling.
• Chan Santa Cruz Diplomacy:

1. The Rezzurrectionists believe that Zombies are good. We are inclined to disagree, having seen them rip people apart and eat them.
2. The Rezzurrectionists seek to propogate the Zombie strain (ask Susquehanna). Chan Santa Cruz reserves the right to defend itself against any threat to its people's welfare - in this case  the threat of Zombie infection.
3. The Rezzurrectionists have aligned themselves with people affiliated with the KKK. So they are discriminatory. Futhermore, they came to power by acts of terror and violence. Russia: With the Canadian theater nearing its halt due to the majority of the Canadian Armed Forces capitulating, troops begin to pull out. The total active amount of troops will remain at 2,000,000 to defend the Russian Federation and peacefully occupy the former Scandinavian states, France and Canada for nuclear/biological disarmament. Troops in Canada begin to mobilize a gigantic surprise attack against the rest of the Canadian forces located in Manitoba which are made of Canadian troops retreating from the Battles of Ottawa and the Province of Quebec. 150,000 Russian troops have mobilized with naval support in the Hudson Bay to capture this province in a quick decisive swoop. Troops have finally captured Newfoundland after Canadian troops have surrendered to due attrition from being surrounded. Similar events are happening within the province of Alberta. The Russian air industries Mikoyan-Gurevich has finally bought out the Turkish Aerospace Industries, acquiring many Turkish military designs that were built by the company. An order was made for 150 C-22 Ghost Stealth Bombers, with the same schematics being used that was acquired from the Turkish Aerospace Industries. However, the bomber will be renamed to the MiG-32 Vampire. Schematics for the old TK-66 Skyhawk were sold to the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and is currently on the assembly line and is renamed to the Mi-36 Mist. Plans are also made to replace the aging universal MiG-23 fighter of the Russian Air Force. The air industry company Sukhoi is preparing to propose the Russian Air Force a new revolutionary supersonic air multirole fighter. In about six months, the first successful design will be sketched out. Shipyards have built about twelve Kilo-Class submarines, fourteen Red-October-Class submarines, six Alfa-Class submarines, five Sierra-Class submarines, two Typhoon-Class submarines, three Akula-Class submarines, and five Oscar-Class submarines. Factories have also constructed 550 T-90 tanks. All T-72 and T-80 tanks of the Russian Ground Forces are now moved into storage to reduce the upkeep of the military. The Gennadiy Nikonov small arms industry has proposed a new rifle to the Russian Armed Forces called the AN-94. We are currently considering it as a replacement to the AK-74. United Islamic Caliphate: It is revealed that both As'ad Nejem and Caliph El-Amin I have died. As'ad died of pneumonia brought on by a bedridden fever. The death of the Caliph however, is much more obscure. He appears to have killed himself, many believing that he killed himself because he couldn't go on without the supposedly great As'ad Nejem. In reality however, one of As'ads guards killed the Caliph in such a way to make it look like a suicide, even placing a forged note. As'ad ordered this as he realized he was close to death, and from his constant rivalry with the Caliph. From this, a new person is elected to As'ads position, and he is Omar Fayiz Zaman. A new Caliph is also elected, Muhammad Mas'ud Alfarsi, taking the name Caliph Mas'ud Alfarsi I. The first act of the Caliph is the Organization of the Arabian Peninsula. The agreement asks Oman, The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to co-ordinate policies of the member countries for Petroleum, Natural Gas and other fuels, so as to maximize economies of the member nations and provide further co-operation as a culturally and religiously united peoples. Japan: Japan continues to build up the Self Defence Forces and infrastructure is improved. Some of the Maritime Self Defence Force still continues to patrol around Japan. With McDale on the top job, he resumes the crackdown on the Rezzurrectionists, but his power was to be challenged. The Communists were staging another coup to overthrow him, and were successful. United Republics: Continues superior influence of Brazil through political ideology, installed officals (10-15%) and economic ties. In the three Indian Republics the UR continues to train and support the governments and militaries there, especially Goa. UR's incorporation of Queen Maud Land, results in the idea of building a city there, similar to New Stanley. UR continues to develop infrastructure and develop better high speed train technology and more efficient solar panels. The occupation of Canada's southern west portion continues, including an advance to Winnipeg and Thunder Bay [Algo coming]. URSA continues with the Prima Rover, finalizing the location for the space launch station on the moon, not far from the Artimus Lunar Base. URSA begins to send supplies and construction crews to build the launch station, named Spaceport One, to be completed within six months. UR continues to construct new marine ships to continue its naval program. URSA's MOVE program finalizes a rover to be built and sent to Mars, named Esperanza which is launched, and twin Prosperdad, will be launched within the next three months. The trip will take around 150 days to complete (~3 turns before the rovers land). UR continues to focus on funding its education and improving literacy, thus improving the quality of life.  Baja California expands to the border of Mexicali. 

Chan Santa Cruz: The war continues. Houston and Corpus Christi are expected to fall soon (next turn). More supplies and troops are sent. Industry is upgraded by 0.25 in order to better produce ammunition. We send a letter of explanation to the Falklands (see our diplomacy).

Sul: Continues to build up infrastructure and improve the nation as a whole. Submits final bid for the World Cup. Continues to develop focus on improving the nation's education system. 

Portugal: Asks Spain to back off with its annexation of Granada. Continues to prepare army for war. Threatens to attack Spain unless Spain takes back the its claim of annexation of Granada.

Korea: With the Canadian war ending we withdraw our troops slowly, and 5000 troops are withdrawn. The second round of reforms end and the third round of reforms begin. This increases our industry score by 0.25.

With the signing of the Treaty of Salzburg, the Holy Roman War officially ends. After a devastating war across Central Europe, the nations involved look toward rebuilding.

The nation of Germany is created, as dictated by the Treaty of Salzburg. The new nation, comprised of the states of the Holy Roman Empire, Austria, the former nations of Slovenia and Liechtenstein, the state of the Teutonic Order, Alsace-Lorraine, Nordic Germany, and southern Jutland, is governed by the executive branch in Vienna, occupied by Karl von Habsburg, leader of the royal family, and the legislative branch in Berlin, lead by the Reichstag. (Mscoree will post the flag when he gets unbanned.)

The operation to end the Canadian regime is successful, and all weapons of mass destruction are seized. Elections are scheduled and a temporary provisional government is established, which immediately reverses the reforms of the previous regime. Trade is also reopened with the United States and the CSTO.

Yunnan is incorporated as a Vietnamese colonial territory, with a local government established. The small Chinese population in the region resists the Vietnamese, or chooses to leave for the east.

Pro-Russian politicians are installed and funded into the new governments of Sweden and Norway. All troops in France are withdrawn and sent to Sweden and Norway. Co-operation with the new Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian military police is going well for peaceful occupation of their countries. Haakon I was tried at Stockholm by a Swedish court and was found guilty of crimes against humanity, he was later hung in the streets of Stockholm in front of the city hall. The approval for a new assault rifle of the Russian Armed Forces is approved and all AK-74s are currently being replaced by the newer AN-94. About 80,000 troops have been recruited into the Russian Armed Forces. Falklands: The troops sent from Canada are not sent back to the Falklands. Instead, they are sent to the UK, were they travel to the mouth of the Thames by ship, then motor launch down until they are close to London, then they kayak into London, and incite the pro-UR rebels in the city. The rebels rise up, and 5000 rebels attack the UK troops defending the city. With modern weapons and FSF teams in support, they take the city.

Wu D: Apologizes but refuses to leave those provinces, since those provinces have never been in the Zombie apocalypse and is thus never subject to a Zombie destruction. Hence, the people currently inhabiting those provinces are all predominately Chinese and Tibetan, two sub parts of Wu.

South Africa: Stage Three of the Plan continues in full swing. In Gabon, the oil continues to help research into its efficient use. North and South Zambia upgrade infrastructure by 0.25, while in Mozambique navy is amped up by 0.25. The navy continues to develop in secret a few advanced submarines. The manual labour of the Exes continue, but the Council begins to feel there is now less need for the Exes with more people needing jobs and such. I'm sorry but there is no Belgium anymore. Most of its population have been converted to Protestanism two decades ago and have intermarried with the Dutch. Add the fact that white Sud Afrikaans have been coming to set up their lives in the nation since its union too, it doesn't seem very plausible. Sorry.

Considering that there are very few of them left, and them migrating to move to places with better jobs, with immigrants taking up their places, no it isn't.

The navy continues to develop in secret a few advanced submarines, with the first official submerines of the new class beginning to be constructed. The number of Exes workers begins to decrease heavily due to the Council keeping them for resting purposes. These Exes are soon researched upon and new drugs are tested on them. The nations in the Union with act in unison and will all upgrade together and such, yet will control over the fact that if they would like to send their military to battle. The Union begins plans to create a joint military with separate branches for each nation. Cities begin to be rebuilt in a proper fashion with South African investments flowing into the nation. With the large numbers being employed, it seems like the nation is on the verge of a construction boom never seen before. The number of Indians coming to the nation decreases drastically as the Indian vassals begin to get up onto their feet. The Hindustani Armed forces, in their first official action, move in to liberate Madhya Pradesh, Oridsa and Chattisgardh. Project Clean continues at a good pace, and the first commercial reactors continue to be constructed all around the country. DASO launched another few manned fly past of the moon.
