The 2007 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships was the 64th edition of the Ice Hockey World Championships hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It took place between 10 and 25 February 2007 in Riga , Latvia , marking the first time a former Soviet state apart from the Soviet Union had hosted the event. Czechoslovakia were the defending champion.
The reigning Olympic champions Sweden won the title after shutting out Czechoslovakia 4–0 in the final. Finland defeated Canada 5–0 for the bronze medal.
