In our timeline, the year 2012 was a time of close calls, yet no several bad events. Even with the 2012 Phenomenon, people were more than excited of what the year holds. Between the 2012 Solar Flare, CERN facility, Higgs Boson discovery, 2012 elections, the Curiosity Rover, and more, it was one of the most eventful years since 2001.
But what if the conspiracy was true. What if even without an actual predictions, the Mayans accidentally predicted the End of the World, or a world, back in 3114 BCE. What if 2012 didn't end the world, but the world we knew?

Signs of the end first started in mid July, 2012. A large Solar Flare impacted the earth, causing technology to fry, Plane crashes, and Massive blackouts impacted over 1.2 Billion across the world. Most Worriedly for physicists and Conspiracy Nuts, the Large Hadron Collider power was damaged severely, causing Theorists to believe that the Higgs Boron could end the world if it leaked. Meanwhile in the Middle East, tensions begin rising between Iran with other Arabia nations and the western world over the War on Terror, causing the United States to sever ties with Iran. This caused sour relations with other Middle Eastern Nations due to the United States supporting Israel and threatening an invasion of Iran.
The Energy Crisis lead to mass shopping as people started buying canned goods on mass over the course of a week. This lead to massive riots as the panic buying killed over 3.5 Million just in the US alone. Nations in the middle east started collapsing as the Arab Spring began intensifying to levels that the government couldn't even handle, collapsing Tunisia and Libya to collapse into anarchy as a massive refuge crisis hit the nations affected.
As nations struggle to protect themselves from the chaos, a series of terrorist attacks from September 11th to 27th are directed against United States diplomatic missions worldwide, as well as diplomatic missions of Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, with opinions divided whether the attacks are a reaction to a YouTube trailer for the film Innocence of Muslims. Due to the massive crisis on September 28th, North Korea launched a massive invasion of South Korea due to diplomatic ties breaking, leading to the US and Russia announcing neutrality, but china instead supported North Korea.
Hurricane Sandy soon moved across the North American Continent from October 22nd to November 2nd, causing cities like New York and Philadelphia to flood by 3 meters and caused a massive economic crisis as Wall street and other important ports and economic hubs were either destroyed or severely ruined. The Server housing and economic crisis after the hurricane lead to the assassination of Barack Obama due to his mishandling and Mitt Romney winning by a small margin.
On November 14th, Israel launches Operation Pillar of Defense against the Palestinian-governed Gaza Strip, killing Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari. This lead to a Fifth Arab-Israeli war and caused the involved nations to be heavily destroyed as the Arab Spring and their ill preparedness caused the nations to have a cease fire on December 6th.
