Welcome to the 2014: DoAWK Portal Page, Where Ukraine manages to keep its nukes from approval of its new allies, it was forgoten over time to a point where it was just a rumour. Until 2014 came.
What da is this all about?[]
2014: DoAWK is about a Nuclear War happening during the Annextion of Crimea, The POD begins way back into the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
In OTL Following the Collapse of the USSR, Ukraine had thousands of nuclear weapons, making it the third largest nuclear power at the time. However the government decided to denuclearize the country in the following years. In 1994 Ukraine signed the Budapest Memorandum, approving that UK and Russia would provide security to Ukraine. As of today, some Ukrainians regreted giving up its nuclear aresenal, however the Government knew it made the right decision before 2014, as it result in a global conflict.
In ATL However, The Government instead to keep its nuclear bombs following an alternate approval from the United States and Russia. There was no Budapest Memorandum in the alternate timeline. This however was forgoten slowly by other events and by 2005. It was forgotten so much it turned into a rumour and everybody thought it was fake, expect for the Ukrainian Government, it did not tell its allies and made it a secret in 2007. This was until Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, Where Ukraine decided to use Tactical Nuclear Bombs on Russia with 200 Targets, Russia responded with 352 Tactical Nuclear Bombs. The 2 bombs that accidently attacked London and Berlin sparked a Nuclear War between CSTO and NATO, spearding across the world, and killing more than 1 Billion People. More than 3 Billion People would die to Fallout and Winter, lasting for 4 years between 2014-2017. The remaining 3 Billion People try to grip on what is left of society, Humanity is at the edge of being wiped.
This is also a live event, where it continues to this day.
