Alternative History

The 2020 Democratic presidential race took place in the United States until April 8, 2020 when US Senator of California Kamala Harris withdrew from the race due to not being able to get enough delegates and the COVID-19 Pandemic. US Representative of Hawaii Tulsi Gabbard automatically won the primaries after being the frontrunner since the first democratic debate.

The Democratic Race:

The race itself was divided into new deal/social democrats and moderate/center left democrats. With Hillary Clinton losing in 2016, people were desperate for an outsider who would be willing to make real progressive change in America. With Ted Cruz's low approval ratings as President, Democrats believed they would have a chance to win the White House again so many well known politicians ran along with many unknown people.

Kamala Harris, US Senator of California (withdrew and endorsed Gabbard)
