1725: Jean-Baptiste Bénard de la Harpe sets sail for an expedition in French Canada.

1725: Jean-Baptiste Bénard de la Harpe returns to France.

1727: Settlers arrive east of modern day Toronto and set up the colony of Ft. Harpe

1730-1740: More towns are created including Ft. Louis and Clement (Named after the current pope)

1756-1763: 7 Years war goes mostly the same, except for more French victories in North America.

1763: A Treaty is signed in Paris; Ohio and Michigan to Britain, Southern Rupert’s Land to France, Labrador To France.

1763: Britain cedes Newfoundland to Denmark for their help.

1765: Clash between French and the British in Rupert’s Land.

1766: France claims Northern Rupert’s Land.

1767: After another clash, France and Britain go to war, beginning the 3 Years War.

1769: Spain Joins in, saving France.

1770: Treaty is signed in Amsterdam, Northern Rupert’s Land to France, and France cedes Louisiana to Spain for their help.

1776: Due to heavy losses in the 7 and 3 years war, and large taxation on the colonies, The American Revolution begins, France and Spain support the rebels.
