PODs:
This TL has five PODs. These would drastically change the history and face of the world.

  +
*The main POD has something to do with the Wars of the Roses and/or the Hundred Years' War
*The first POD is that the Crowns of Castille and Aragon do not marry and unite. Only Castille takes up arms to fight the Reconquista, but is never fully able to defeat Granada, which eventually received backing from the Turks. With this, Columbus (and his brothers) went to other lands seeking funding for their westwards voyage. Christopher goes to Portugal, Bartholomew to England, and Giacomo to France. With Portugal in debt, England nearing the end of war (but still fighting it), and France wrapped up in Italy as well as in monetary crisis, the Colombus brothers found nowhere to go. They try again in 1488. Richard III has defeated Henry Tudor, Edward V and his brother show up alive and they seek refuge in Denmark, around the same time France has succeeded in vassalizing Genoa after a long and tiring war while Portugal has paid off massive amounts of its debts after raising taxes. The three brothers would set off to the three nations again. Portugal still has to finish its job, so Christopher is turned down. Joining his brother in England, they are told that England still needs to recover and would not support such a risky idea. In France they are turned down again. Their final attempt is in 1490, where the brothers trade nations. Portugal takes up the offer and they gain larger sharings in the New World than they did in OTL.

  +
*The second POD is later on down the line in Russia.
*The second POD is in 1569. Poland and Lithuania do not unite into one united nation. This is primarily because the governments and peoples of the two nations decided that another union would fail and be a repeat of the Union of Kraków and Vilna, the Union of Krewo, the Union of Vilnius and Radom, the Union of Grodno, and the Union of Horodło, which all failed or cease to exist in one way or another. In a series of what would become known as the Great Baltic War, Russia defeated and annexed Poland and Lithuania in rapid succession and then attacked Sweden and took Finland and the Swedish Baltics, effectively placing the entire Baltic area under Russian control.

  +
*The third POD is about Scandinavia.
*The third POD is when France allies with Denmark-Norway instead of Sweden. Because of this, Sweden and the United Provinces fought with France, Denmark-Norway, and Brandenburg and lost to them in the Scanian War.

  +
*The fourth POD is related to the Ottoman Empire.
*The fourth POD, and this one is more of a difference, is that Peter the Great is liberal and turns Russia into a constitutional monarchy.

*The fifth POD is also more of a difference. Peter the Great and his son Alexei do not harbor such hatreds against their wives, allowing the Tsesarevich to take the throne when his father dies. Descendants of Ivan V would never secure the throne in their hands.

The Argentine Revolution of 1872 placed a new, pro-Prussian government in place of the old pro-Franco-Spanish one. The former British monarchy had returned to England following a coup in 1862 later known as the Glorious Return. The Balkan Rebellions resulted in independence for Greece, and weakened the political power of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans.
