Albania (Albanian: Shqipëria), also known as the Kingdom of Albania (Albanian: Mbretëria Shqiptare), is a country located in the western portion of Southeastern Europe. It was established in 1832, when it gained independence from the Hungarian Empire. It shares borders with Serbia and Montenegro, Bulgaria and Rhomania.
