Albert (1857-1929) was the eldest son of King George III, and reigned as King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Ireland and King of America from his father's death in 1884 until his own death in 1929. In 1893, Britain overthrew the monarchy, and Albert fled to Philadelphia, where he took the title King of the Commonwealth of British Nations
