Alexander IV of England was King of England, Scotland and Ireland from 12 June 1672 to 15 March 1680. He was the son of James VIII and I and his wife, Queen Helen of Ross. He married Helena Amalie of Saxony, and, despite his best efforts, he had but one child - a daughter, Anne I of Great Britain, who died at the age of six.
