In this timeline, the position and shape of the continents that we know in OTL does not exist. Instead, five different continents take their place, each characterized by their unique history, wildlife and climate. While some share characteristic with OTL continents, the languages, countries and cultures that emerge differ greatly.

Continents[]

Anerko[]

Comparable to N. America in OTL

The climate of this continent is very temperate in the north, with long tundra plains in the arctic north and dense coniferous forests along the west coast. In the midwest, there are dry plains and long, expansive deserts. Years of wind and heavy storms have shaped the earth in this area to be rocky and almost mountainous. The largest mountain chain on this continent lies to the southeast, overlooking the Anerko Gulf, full of several tropical islands.

Anerko is connected to Lecras by a land bridge in the south, and has islands neighbouring Wolshuse in the east, apart of the Espagne Archipelago.

The history of Anerko dates back to the year 3956 (1656 AD). Explorers from the Kingdoms and Empires of Wolshuse were sent by the monarchs to search for new sources of resources vital to the Wolshusian economy at the time. Such resources included copper, iron, lumber and gold. There was an abundance of these metals in Anerko's mountainous south, near the coast. This brought in Wolshusian peoples, and gave them reason to settle on this continent. By the year 4317 (2017 AD) there are 17 countries on the lands of Anerko.

Lecras[]

Comparable to Latin America/S. America in OTL

The climate on Lecras is humid in the northeast and east, with a very rocky terrain in the southwest. The north is full of dense rain forests and the west is covered in rolling hills with forests over top. It is the second farthest south continent, with the far south regions freezing cold during the winters.

Lecras is connected to Anerko to the north. The Colujo Peninsula on the east of the continent comes close to touching the lands of Sittole.

The indigenous people of Lecras had set up large, organized and powerful empires long before the arrival of people from other continents. It was not explored by Wolshusian peoples until the year 4013 (1713 AD). A series of wars between the indigenous population and the settlers ensued, resulting in nations of indigenous people growing along the west coast of the continent, and lands of Wolshusian people arising on the east coasts. Lecras has 8 similar nations as of the year 4317 (2017 AD).

Wolshuse[]

Comparable to Europe in OTL

The climate on Wolshuse varies greatly. It is the farthest north continent, and features some of the coldest winters on the planet in the far north. The east-northeast area is very dry, with an expansive desert covering a portion of the region. In the far south, it is a more temperate climate. Dense forests and wide open plains make up the landscape of the south. The Candalo Mountain range lies in the southeast.

Wolshuse is connected to Flikteyr via a land bridge in the northeast. It has a southern peninsula that nearly touches the continent of Sittole, and vice versa. Some of the islands in the Espagne Archipelago are in close proximity to islands apart of Anerko.

Wolshusian history begins in the year 1 (2100 BCE), two hundred years after the first tribes emerged out of Sittole. The tribes of southern Wolshuse grew to become kingdoms and empires, and after several wars among each other resources became vital. Most technological developments throughout the 2000's and 3000's took place on this continent. In the late 3000's, Wolshusian explorers sailed west to land on the continents of Anerko and Lecras. By the year 4317 (2017 AD), there are 16 countries on Wolshuse.

Sittole[]

Comparable to Africa and the Middle East in OTL

The climate of Sittole is dry and humid near the equator, with vast deserts in the northwest. The northern peninsulas are covered in expansive grasslands and several forests. The southeast is more temperate than the north, with a humid climate and long periods of rainfall. In the far south, there are tundras covering the islands.

Sittole is the only continent that does not connect to another via land bridge. Instead it has a north peninsula in close proximity to Wolshuse.

Sittolian history starts in the year -200 (2300 BCE). The first developed civilizations arise in the north, followed by the migration to other continents, especially Wolshuse. The indigenous people of the land thrived for centuries until expansionism grew in the minds of the Wolshusians and they came south to conquer the land for it's resources. Most of the kingdoms treated the people poorly, resulting in bad relations even to this day. As of 4317 (2017 AD), there are 37 nations.
