Ameera I Aidanovna Bagration-Mukhrani (Russian: Амира И Айдановна Багратион-Мухрани, Georgian: ამიერა ძე აიდან ბაგრატიონ-მუხრანი, born 6 November 1983) originally born as Ameera bint Aidan bin Nayef Al-Taweel Al-Otaibi (Arabic: أميرة بنت عيدان بن نايف الطويل العصيمي العتيبي) and known by Ameera I Aidanovna, Princess of Georgia or Ameera al-Taweel is a philanthropist, socialite and fashion artist. She is the first Arab woman to marry into the nobility of the Russian Empire.
Born into a non-royal cadet branch of the Saud dynasty, Princess Ameera was married to Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, and assumed the role of Vice Chairperson of Al-Waleed bin Talal Foundation. Princess Ameera is a member of the board of trustees at Silatech Moskva. She has advocated for women's rights in Saudi Arabia, and now does the same in the Russian Empire.
After Saudi Arabia collapsed, and was invaded by Russian, German and Persian forces, Al-Waleed killed, she fell in love with Michael I Andereyevich, Prince of Georgia from the House of Bagration-Mukhrani. Thus, she became Eastern Orthodox and married Prince Michael I. She became a Spokesperson for the Royal Bagration Foundation, which after the Russian invasion, took over both Silatech and the Al-Waleed bin Talal Foundation.
She is also known for her glamour, sexually provacative image and because of her marriage to Prince Michael I Andreyevich, is considered one of the most attractive noblewomen in Russia.
Marriage to Prince Michael I Andreyevich Bagration-Mukhrani[]
Princess Ameera was at the palace when Russian, German and Persian forces invaded the former Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, laying waste to the House of Al-Saud. Prince Michael I Andreyevich, from the ruling Georgian House of Bagaration, was one of the generals responsible for the invasion of Riyadh.
Although still married to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal after his death, she took frequent trips to Russia. However, she had actually been having an affari with Prince Michael I Andreyevich. The two became dance partners at the Imperial Ball, and non-royal National Dance Federation.
Soon, the two took to media and covered themselves becoming more and more sensual. Soon PRince Michael decided he wanted to marry Ameera. The two promoted their bondage-style relationship.
Because Ameera was only a "princess-by-marriage", some of the Bagrations were not too content with the idea but soon accepted the idea. Ameera would become Eastern Orthodox, as Muslim women are bound to marry a Muslim man.
The two engaged in December 10, 2020 and got married on December 1, 2021.
Fueds with other noblewomen[]
Princess Ameera has been negatively criticized by other noblewomen, both conservative and progressive alike, for different reasons. Mostly from the House of Struve, for attempting to promote women's rights in the Russian Empire, yet publicly promoting her bondage relations with Prince Michael I Andreyevich.
Princess Varya I Fedorovna, from the House of Struve; publicly stated, "This 'Princess' Ameera, who is only a princess from a former marriage to an Arab prince, attempts to promote women's rights, and yet - by the example of the public pride she displays as a bonded woman to Prince Michael I Andreyevich, she advocates that woman are nothing more but sitting ducks to be hunted around by men. Unacceptable and hypocritical to the fullest."
Princess Ameera fired back stating, "Princess Varya I Fedorovna is just jealous she will never become as sexy, beautiful, rich and blessed as I am, that's all. Pure jealousy at its fullest, nothing to see here. Just another worthless punk on the list. Look, I enjoy being a sex tool to Prince Michael I Andreyevich, because I enjoy it, he never forced me to, and I'm not saying or forcing anyone else to. So yeah, there I agree with Princess Varya, women should choose. Well I have chosen."
In addition, Princess Ameera's wedding to Prince Michael also caused jealous reactions from other Georgian, Cacuasian and Russian princesses wanting to marry the latter, in a similar fashion to that when Prince Mohammad I Pavlovich of Azerbaijan and his marriage to Princess Noor Pahlavi of Persia. For example. Princess Ivanka I Mamukaevna wrote a public greivence letter against Prince Michael, claiming that he disgraced his heritage.
Many others have criticized Princess Ameera's sexually provacative and "un-princess-like" etiquitte. For example, Princess Sophia I Eduardovna Rennenkampff called her "Princess Brodyaga", literally meaning "Princess Tramp". The insults continued, with Princess Sophia referring to Princess Ameera as "Princess Shlyukha" literally meaning "Princess Slut" during her and Prince Michael's visit to the Baltics. However, her brothers later admonished her and asked her to refrain from such language, subsequently apologized to the Georgian royal couple for Princess Sophia's harsh-words. In addition, the Baltics, being a progressive Grand Principality, many athletic organizations cut their contracts with Princess Sophia's various sporta organizations.
Princess Ivanka I Pavlovna Massalskaya, who previously lambasted Prince Mohammad and Princess Noor's union, also threw similar public insults against Princess Ameera and Prince Michael's union. She posted on her social media account, "Oh no, great, another one. No Russian Christian noble should ever be marrying a Muslim animal."
However, many other nobles defended Princess Ameera. Princess Louise I Stanislavovna Ungern-Sternberg, another well-known liberal noble from the Manchu faction of the House of Ungern-Sternberg, came to both Princess Ameera and Princess Noor's defense, stating that the heat she got from other noblewomen was "purely disgusting and revolting". Other members of the House of Ungern-Sternberg, such as Prince Vladimir Ungern-Sternberg, stated that the issue is outside their scope of concerns unless it had some negative consequence on the Tsarist state as a whole or the Ungern-Sternbergs, reminded people that the Ungern-Sternbergs were not knyazhestvo (princely) in origin, but from a morganatic line between Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg and Princess Elena Pavlovna, and that ultimately, the issue is solely in the hands of the House of Bagration and nobody else.
He also went on to say that most other princesses are likely jealous.
