Prince Andrey I Vassiliyevich Semyonov (Russian: Князь Андрей Васильевич Семенов, born born 8 April 1982) and also Andrew I Vasiliyevich, Prince of Siberia is a Russian military statesman who is the current Generalissmus of the Russian Empire.
Prior to becoming Generalissmus, Prince Andrew was a professional boxing trainer and mixed-martial artist, before he eventually became interested in military diplomacy.
He is descended from the wealthy Buryat House of Semyonov via his father Prince Vassily I, and the Rurikid House of Gorchakov via his mother Princess Militsa, thus making him a Rurikid. He is the second Rurikid to become leader of the Senate in the 21st century, the first having been his cousin Prince Vladimir Ungern-Sternberg, whose Rurikid descent is also matrilineal.
Andrey was born to Prince Vassily Semyonov and Princess Militsa Ivanovna Gorchakova, Vassily was originally a Japanese kozaku, but joined the Russian dnarzvho upon converting to the Russian Orthodox Church, and accepting the title Prince of Transbaikal after migrating to Russia from Japan.
Prince Vassily is descended from partial Buryat Cossack Grigory Mikhaylovich Semyonov, while Princess Militsa is a Rurikid, from the House Gorchakov.
Like the case of non-Orthodox princes marrying into ethnic Russian and Orthodox families, the head of the latter stated they'd only honor the marriage if said-princes become Orthodox, and raise their children Russian.
The two agreed that their children would be raised Russian, and thus, Prince Andrew is considered part of the Rurikid noble families of the Russian Empire, as his matrilineal descent is currently recognized as part of his royal lineage. This would make him part of both the House of Semyonov and House of Gorchakov.
In spite of coming from the wealthy House of Semyonov, Prince Andrew aspired to make his own money. He was heavily-involved in combat sports as a child.
Prince Andrew is currently married to Princess Alina I Gennadiyevna Vorontsova, a princess-by-birth from the House of Vorontsov.
