The Anglo-Arcadian Insurgency, also known as the English Insurgency in Borealia, is an ongoing armed conflict and insurgency in Borealia (partially the heavily English states of Koebec, Nausetia, Unamia, and Allegheny) and Burgundian colonies such as Maryland, by parts of its English population. The war is a result of the Commonwealth War, which saw portions of primarily English-speaking territory ceded to both nations, and involves several terrorist, separatist, and otherwise pro-English organizations, with some support from the English-speaking world.
The conflict is described as a "guerrilla war", or "low-level war", with several periods of organized, armed uprising. Primarily the war is fought by paramilitary groups such as the "League of Empire Loyalists", who have launched numerous attacks within Borealian territory. The war has led to a shift in the region, with numerous civilian deaths and resettlement of Borealia's population, sometimes by force. Additionally the ongoing insurgency has led to increased tensions between the Burgundian sphere and the English nations of Arcadia.
