Aruta or Arita (有田) is a Japanese nation in North America. The name is derived from the Spanish Alta California. It is bordered on the north by Oregon, to the east by Misuri and to the east and south by Mexico.
Aruta contains the province of Deseret, which was founded by Mormons fleeing persecution in the North American Confederation. The governor-general of Aruta offered the Mormons territory in what was then western Yûgo (since renamed Ginsan), hoping to thereby increase the population of that area. Shortly afterwards, their settlement was split off as a new province, Deseret.
The governor's hopes were greatly met, and Deseret is the most populous of the Eastern provinces with a highly eclectic mix of races, from Asia the Pacific and Europe, totalling now in the millions.
