Atlantis is Earth's second largest and most populous continent. It covers roughly 20% (or one-fifth) of the world's surface area, with a population of over 172 million as of 25 AU. Despite being the second largest continent (after Pacifica), Atlantis is the most culturally diverse landmass on Earth, being home to at least five advanced societies each with their own languages and culture. Atlantis' diversity stems from its geographical position between six of the seven world's oceans, which provide the landmass with plenty of rainfall to grow vegetation and cultivate crops. The continent is surrounded by the Antarctic Ocean in the north, the European, African and Asian Oceans to the West, the Tawantin and Mackinaw Oceans in the East, and the Green Sea to the South. The Borealian Ocean is the only major body of water that doesn't share a border with Atlantis.
