Bèi dòngjié is a country directly to the north of China. It had been wanting independence for a very long time, and was finally given it in GWII. Today, it is a stable democracy with mostly Chinese people living there. It's very secluded from the rest of the world, but still celebrates its stable laws.
It had been a part of China ever since they colonized the region, but had been feeling a disconnect from their government ever since the Qing Dynasty was overthrown. They got along very well with the natives, and Bèi dòngjié celebrates a National Nomad Day every January 16.
Their temperature averages in the areas of -5*C, and has many cold deserts. They experience yearly blizzards, which does a number on their economy and government. They have their elections in the summer.
