A Short History of Babylonia[]

Babylonia, much like its neighbor Assyria, was home to civilization much older than Rome. Babylonia contained some of the oldest temples, libraries, and structures of the world. Babylonia became a Senatorial Province at around the same time as Assyria and a few of the other former Parthican Provinces. The Babylonians, also like the Assyrians, had a deep belief in their Zoroastrian religion; the oldest continuously burning fire, know as the fire of creation, was held in the city which became New Ctesiphon. Despite this some pockets of Angelic Gnosticism and the Roman Religion were tolerated.
