Basque Presidential election, 2011 (Cinco De Mayo)

The Basque Presidential election of 2011 was a general election held to elect the President of the Basque Republic (Lehendakari) held on October 1-2, 2011. The incumbent President, Patxi López of EA, was defeated by Inigo Urkullu of the EAJ, by a margin of 52% to 43%. It was the first time an incumbent Lehendakari was defeated for reelection in the history of the Basque Republic.
