The Battle of Arbela took place between the armies of the Roman Empire under the command of Emperor Agrippa and Parthian forces under Phraates IV in 7 BC. Phraates IV used the same tactics he used on Mark Anthony. Emperor Agrippa used a defensive tactics against Phraates IV, then he noticed that Phraates is using the same tactics that Phraates IV used on Mark Anthony. He quickly takes advantage of the situation but it had cost Agrippa a large amount of casualties his army many more were captured. The battle was a costly victory for the Romans and a costly defeat for the Parthians who couldn't recover from the defeat. This battle had caused the capture of Phraates IV, he would meet the same fate as Vercingetorix in the hands of Julius Caesar. He would be paraded through the streets in a Triumph and executed before a jeering crowd. This battle was the final battle of the Roman-Parthian War of 9-7BC.
