The Battle of Zadar was a battle of WWII, involving Venice and Yugoslavia.

The war started with the invasion of Istria, perpetrated by the XII Unity of the Army Rovigo. They further expanded their control and reached Zadar in December 1942; they imposed their control until February 1943, when Yugoslav rebels assaulted the Government Palace and captured the invaders.

The war ended with the surrender of Venice and the ejection of the XII Unity from the Yugoslav territory.
