Belarus, officially the Republic Of Belarus, is a landlocked nation located in Eastern Europe. it is bordered by Russia to the east, Poland to the west, Latvia and Lithuania to the north, and Ukraine to the south.
Belarus never really had it’s own independent territory until 1918, when the Belarusian People’s Republic, was formed. This was quickly ended, as the red army quickly took the region in 1919.
1994-1999[]
In 1994, Zianon Pazniak wins the Belarusian presidential elections, at 64.2% of the vote.
2000-[]
Belarus was barely affected by the 2000 Russian Collapse. After Russia was severely weakened, relations with the U.S. and Ukraine could improve without Russian intervention.
