Bengal,officialy the People's Republic
of Bengal (Bengali:গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ) is a socialist state in eastern India.
Bengal's story begins after the war began in the west and far east, the Soviet Union was quick to sign a treaty with the Reich.Subhash Chandra Bose was a disgruntled ex-Congress far-left leader. He had left for disagreeing with the INC's moderate ideology. He would ally with the then pro-Nazi USSR to free India. This was hated by the British, who tried to arrest him,but Bose was able to escape to Moscow through Afghanistan. After talking with Stalin,he left to Nanking. There he formed the Azad Hind Fauj, the militant wing of his party, the All India Forward Bloc, with the Indians who were in the war fighting Japan and were taken prisoner.
He began talks with both Chiang Kai-Shek and Mao Tse-Tung about support for his cause.Russia,China and Bose's Indian government would soon form their own alliance, which was both anti-Axis and anti-Allies.FDR,despite his staunch pro-Allied stance, would support them. With Azad Hind's militant activities in the east,Congress,Marxist Punjab and the British-backed Shri Hindu Parishad all controlling land in the north and central parts of India, the Islamic Emirate of Pakistan in the northwest, and the only (yet barely) British loyal regions, the Deccan Union (a protectorate),the Dominion of Madras, and the Dominion of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,in the south,India was in anarchy. This era was known as the Revolutionary era.
After India's independence,a new enemy was formed in Akhand Bharat. The Akhand Bharat government claims Bengal and communism to be threats to the 'Hindutva' ideology.Subhash Chandra Bose, who has ruled Bengal for years,is now old and might die.So what is Bengal's fate?
No one knows.
