William Jefferson Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III; August 19, 1946 - September 2, 2004) was an American politician who served as the 39th President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Clinton also served as the 40th and 42nd Governor of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981, and again from 1983 to 1992.
Clinton died of a heart attack at his home in Chappaqua, New York, on September 2, 2004.
