The Borealian Navy (BN) is a naval warfare service branch of the armed forces of Borealia. Founded on the principles of the Burgundian Navy, the Borealian Navy is one of the largest in the western hemisphere, with a number of ships currently in active service.
The Borealian Navy traces its origins to the independent navies of the colonies of Burgundy, which were united on 3 January 1882, as the colonies of Nova Belgica, New Netherlands, and Avelskamp were formalizing their merger into the Dominion of Borealia. The Borealian Navy saw extensive combat alongside Burgundy during the War of the Rhine against the German states of East Germany and Rhineland. It was then further tested in the Commonwealth War, which saw it engage against many of its neighbors on sea, cementing its position as one of the most dominant in the region.
