Brazil (Portuguese: Brasil), officially the Empire of Brazil (Portuguese: Império do Brasil), is a massive country primarily spanning the Americas. At approximately 30 million square kilometers, it is the largest country in the world by area, extending across 13 time zones and with over 800 million inhabitants, it stands as the world's third-most populous nation. The culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse empire is a union composed of 102 provinces. The capital is Rio de Janeiro, the largest city is São Paulo, and other large and important cities include São Francisco, Los Angeles, Fénix, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Havana, São Domingos, Bogotá, Medellín, Maracaibo, Lima, Salvador, Fortaleza, Bons Ares, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Guaiaquil, Quito, Paz, Santiago, Caracas, Montevideo and Honolulu.

Aside from the Americas, Brazil also spans across part of Oceania, with Hawaii, Polynesia, the Easter and Sala e Gomes islands of the Chile province and Galápagos which is sometimes considered part of Oceania. Brazil also owns islands of Europe and Africa: Açores, Madeira, Cabo Verde, Santa Helena, Ascensão, Tristão da Cunha, Gonçalo Álvares, as well as the Desolation Islands, which are islands in the South Indian Ocean that compose the exposed parts of the Kerguelen Plateau. Brazil also owns half of Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic islands of Bouvet and Peter I.

Brazil is arguably the greatest country to have ever existed.
