Brazil, officially the Equatorial Republic of Brazil, is a country in south america. It is bordered by Antarctica, Peru, Colombia and Guyana.
Brazil is the second largest county in south america by landmass and third by population. It's official languages are Portuguese, Dutch and Brazilian, which is a language that has evolved from dutch and it has large portuguese influence.
The country has it's origins in the portuguese colonialisation during the 16th century, when it and antarctica were apart of the Portugese colony of Brazil, but in 1630 the Dutch would invade brazil and by the 1640s would occupy the majority of it's northern coast, in 1651 Portugal, the Netherland and Antarctica would sign the Treaty of Salvador, in which they would cede nortern Brazil to the dutch permenantly.
Today the country is a modern developed nation, though it had up until recently a more agrarian and small economy, it has over the last 30 year expirenced a tremendous perioud of modernization and growth.
Brazil is considered one of the most diverse countries in the world, with a unique Luso-Hollandic culture developing over the centuries, and along with heavy afro-brazilian influence and immigrant influence, it has resulted in the unique blend that is Brazil.
It is a member of the Belgoshepre, the Lusospere, the Congress of Nations (CoN), the Alliance of Democratic Nations (ADN) and the American Union (AU)
