Brazil joined the United Republics officially on February 28th, 1999. After over twenty years of close work between the UR governments and Brazilian people under United Republics influence ever since the UR came and cleared the infection from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In 1991, the nation Sul, consisting of the South Region broke off from Brazil following the declaration that the Brazilian government was failing to govern in accordance with the wishes of the people. While Sul was the only successful separatist movement from Brazil. Brazil and the UR began extremely close relations as UR reformed the Brazilian government along with cooperation in the War for Amazonia. Brazil, with the help of the UR from 1997-1999 was able to begin implementation of solar panels, defensive structures, education reforms, and poverty guidelines that were begun under the Laraenga administration. Brazil has a large supply of iron, natural gas, along with a many oil deposits. Brazil also holds the Amazon Jungle, a region that is well protected under the Rights of Mother Earth Act.
