Government[]
The Government of Brazil, formally a Republic, was more or less politically unstable following the Second World war. With the US taking the preeminent Role in the world Brazil took a Back seat and had to deal with Fascism and Communism much in its own way. The Government of Brazil was a Parliamentary, Presidential Republic and Multiple political Parties. Following the Nuclear war the Government Reformed into a Federative republic under the same president and parliament but with more reigned in control and an ability to secure itself from any future issues following the Nuclear war.
The elections take place every five years and the next elections are to take place in 1965 following the rule of the Transitional president.
Post Nuclear war[]
Following the near Global nuclear war the multiple political parties of Brazil held a conference and voted unanimously that the Government needed to be re-established in a more powerful fashion. This was done and established the Federative Republic of Brazil. Brazil is one of the the Few nations to survive the Global Nuclear war and is slated to be one of the Few to secure a Future for Humanity. this was in part prompted by the collapse of most of Guyana's ruling governments and their petitioning to join Brazil in which some of the European governmental survivors oversaw the creation of the new government.
Military[]
The military of Brazil following the Government restructuring and the Nuclear war began a mass Reformed policy in order to secure its future. Following the Nuclear war most of Brazil's corrupt generals agreed that they would not live long in their current state and moved about for military reformation and helping secure the place they lived for future generation especially since much of the planet had been incinerated.
