CKBI-DT, virtual and digital VHF channel 5 is a Global owned-and-operated station in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. It was previously a CBC station from its inception until 2012, when it became a Global station. The affiliation was private until 2002 when it bought by CBC from CTVGlobemedia. For a decade it was rebroadcaster for CBKST (now CKST-DT, a Citytv O&O) of Saskatoon, in turn CBKST relayed CBKT from Regina. It is the only station in Prince Albert to broadcast digital, as CIPA-DT and CFNS-DT-1 are not signed on yet.
Transmitters[]
CKBI-DR-4 converted to digital when CIPA closed their transmitters in 2016. As a result these stations carry a subchannel for CTV.
