Cambodia, officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia, is a sovereign state located in Southeast Asia, bordering Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.

Cambodia is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the United Nations. Among the ASEAN countries, Cambodia has good relations with China unlike the Philippines and Vietnam which have strained relations with the PRC because of the South China Sea dispute. Cambodia has backed China in this dispute. It is a dialogue partner in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
