The Caribbean Sea has been the scenario a series of fighting between the regional powers in Europe and the Americas since it was discovered by the Europeans in the 15th century, and until 1956 with the stablishment of the Caribbean Treaty between the United States of America, Colombia, Costa Rica, Haiti, and the Dutch Antilles.
This continous fighting was known as the Big Caribbean Game.
