Castile, officially the Kingdom of Castile, often called New Spain, is a sovereign nation in the Iberian Peninsula and in Western Europe. Casile is bordered by Lusitania to the west, Basque to the north, Aragon to the east, and Andalusia to the south.
Castile was founded in 1971, after a year of joint British-American occupation. The Americans installed an unrecognized "Republic of Castile", but the Republic was ousted when a popular referendum reinstated the former Spanish monarchy. As the only Iberian nation with a monarchy before the fall of the Estado Novo and the restoration of the Portuguese (Lusitanian) monarchy, Castile entered a post-war economic miracle, similar to South Japan. During the Cold War and the Fourth World War, the Castilian nation was in conflict with the People's Republic of Andalusia, which collapsed in 2003. During the Fourth World War, Castilian soldiers captured Sevilla, putting an end to the People's Republic of Andalusia. Originally going to restore Spain, José María Aznar tried to annex Andalusia into Castile, but diplomatic missions to the United States refused the annexation.
Castile is a rich and prosperous nation, towering it's Iberia neighbors economic-wise.
