Central Portugal, officially the Central Portugese Empire (Portuguese: Império Português Central) and sometimes referred to as the Surviving Portuguese Empire , is a country in Central and Eastern Africa. It borders to the north, Kongo Empire, East African Federation and to the south Union of South Africa, Rhodenesia and to the east Malawi Society. To the West it borders the Atlantic Sea to the east it borders the Indian Sea. The modern reminiscent of the old Portuguese Empire, Central Portugal was historically one of the most poor and powerful nations in Africa. Its plenty of historical sights, including the Portuguese museum ,National Museum of Slavery, makes tourism its main economic activity. Central Portugal is considered the cultural bridge between Africa and Europe. The modern state of Central Portugal dates back to 1575, when the Portuguese Empire was abolished and the current Empire was established.
