China Russia Chagatay | Draco Brotherhoord - Other Heaven |
The Chinese invasion and annexation of Central Asia, also as Operation Tian Shan (Chinese: 天山行動) was China's annexation of Central Asia via military means.
The Dracos had again, been threatening to invade Central Asia and take over Tian Shan, via the mysterious emergence of "Other Heaven Cults", which were Draconian Order cults operating in Central Asia, and the stinging traumatic memory of World War I resonated within its people. Thus, the government of Chagatay knew it would have to allow itself to come under some superpower protectorate or vassalage. Strong as its forces were, they would never be able to hold off on its own. t Under Tengri/Zues's guidance, the Chagatayan government asked the Chinese forces to assistance and protection, in return, Chagatay would exist as an autonomous region within China. Many of the Southeast Asian governments had been dealing a similar issue.
At this point, with added territory and natural resources, China truly grew into the world's largest superpower, and became the complementary opposing to the German Empire in Europe.
Central Asia became the Chinese province of the Great Xia, literally "Great West". The entire Uyghur vs. Han rivarly does not exist in this timeline.
The invasion had exposed much of China's technology achievements, which they had kept secret from the European powers, namely UFO and rocket technology. The first use of aether rockets was thanks to China, which was being invented at the same time as the German Empire's V-2 program and Russia's Katushya program.
Background[]
During the Interwar Period, the independent Chagatay Republic had already been establishing strong economic, political and cultural links to China, as many Turkic nationalists had favored strong bonds between the Asiatic countries, in spite of promoting OTE Pan-Turanism.
After becoming independent, while Russian was still the predominant L2, Chagatay Turkic was written in Old Turkic script.
For the most-part, recovery went by without much of a problem, since the nomadic Turkic peoples knew how to survive. Those living in the urban centers however, faced lots of trouble and hardship, since they were no longer Russian territory, lacked the necessarry manpower, and leadership to maintain urban centers.
Therefore, many resorted to selling their lands to Chinese businesses. However, the Chinese respected the Turkic peoples, and often-not, had Uyghurs, Evenkis and other Mongolic and Turkic-speaking citizens take the reigns.
At this point, Chinese became a trade language, and Chinese currency was even accepted in Chagatay as a trade currency.
This did not make the Dracos happy, and wanted to invade and lay waste to Tian Shan. Therefore, they formed a brotherhood known as the "Order of the Other Heaven", the "Other Heaven" being the Draco system.
This alerted the Chagatayan leaders, as the Order of the Other Heaven went around committing murders, crimes and harrassed Tengri priests.
This resulted in the Chagatayan government declaring martial law, and sending military troops to hunt them down. However, the Chagatayan military, strong as she was, was still recovering, and thus, the government was dealing with lots of corruption and in-fighting, resulting in a tug-of-war and struggle between Chagatayan Tengrist clergy and the government.
This resulted in the Chagatayan Civil War.
Chinese reaction[]
The Chinese were deeply troubed by the events of the Chagatayan Civil War, as their main God, Tian, is Tengri. The Chinese were already wanting to send to aid, but needed an authorization. Via Xinjiang, Tengri priests were able to reach the Chinese clergy, who relayed the message to Beijing.
According to the Urumqi Agreement, Chagatay would be an autonomous Chinese territory, but ruled by its own customs and tradtions. Chagatay Turkic will continue to predominant native public transections, with Chinese reserved as a sceond language.
Therefore, the Chinese government authorized for an invasion and annexation of Chagatay. This coincided with the Spring Equinox, where a ritual and vigil was performed in Tian Shan, by a mix of Chinese, Turkic, and Mongolian high priests, as well as Turkic and Mongolic high priests from Russia.
Russian reaction[]
Russia had come back to a state of renewal, and also offered their hand to the people of Chagatay, as they remember being helped by the German Empire in their war against the Dracos. Stavka authorized for the formation of a Foreign Legion of 666 strong, well-trained soldiers.
Invasion[]
Spring Equinox Offensive[]
First Wave "Silent Killers"[]
The initial invasion forces consisted mainly of ethnic Uyghur and Mongolic peoples, with a smaller mix of ethnic Han Chinese, since their culture was identical to that of Central Asia, and they were hugely familiar with the nomadic tradition of Central Asia. They were known as the Chenmo Forces (沉默的), Many were also Tengrist priest-soldiers and ethnic Han priests who were part of the Order of Tian Shangdi. These soldiers were heavily spiritually-trained, being able to sense the energies of the Order of the Other Heaven, but also their Chagatayan counterparts. This first wave of Chinese troops set up camps across the country, disguised as nomadic peoples, and with the guidance of Tengri/Tian himself, guided them to rendezvous safely with Tengrist priests across Chagatay.
Second Wave "Scourge of Tian"[]
Another force, the Tian's Scourge Battalions, who were composed of a mix of assault and infantry, and mechanized corps, reinforced by 3,333 tanks and 333 FYPLP rocket launchers - the first-such of military use of rockets, who upon the initial wave of attacks, were to begin entering from the west. On midnight of Spring Equinox, the Chenmo Forces started their attacks on Other Heaven strongholds across Chagatay, attacking them during the night, and disrupting their rituals.
By morning, Chagatayan citizens could hear guns blazing, but had noticed that it was Other Heaven members were dying, getting beheaded at the stake - forming Chagatayan native support.
By the time that Other Heaven priesthood could respond, Chinese tanks were already rolling in, surrounding villages where Other Heaven cults had operated.
Russian attack from northern Kazakhstan[]
In northern Kazakhstan, Russian soldiers, pretending to be Red Order remnants, stated they'd provide help for the Other Heaven, only for the latter to brutally find out they were tricked, as Russian Foreign Legions poured in from northern Kazakhstan, to attack the Other Heaven.
Third Wave: Wrath of Tian Himself[]
The energies of the soldier-priests, allowed Tengri to open the Tian Shan rift to bring in benign UFOs built from China, via Mongolia, clashing with Draco UFOs and ships.
In a battle that lasted for 3 months, members of the Other Heaven surrendered. While Chinese UFOs sustained damage, none were destroyed, the Dracos lost 4 of their UFOs, with the Chinese captured and reverse-engineered. One of them, formerly the Lizard Haven-1, now the CUFO Beishi, was rebuilt, and adorned with severed Draco heads and those of human Draco cultists.
Outcome[]
Chinese forces officially took control of the former Chagatay Republic. As per the Urumqi Agreement, Chagatay would keep its native name in Turkic, and exist as the Greater Xia (大西部, lit, "Greater West") as a Chinese Autonomous Province. Its local government will also keep its local traditions.
Chinese was instated as the second language. The Chinese success only simply added to its vast empire of rich sources and materials, providing it with oil and gold, and providing work for Chagatayan peoples.
The European powers were actually not aware that the Chinese operated UFOs, and it victory paved the way for cementing China as a world superpower.
The Germans, who was Europe's superpower, were astounded. The Kaiser visited China afterwards, and found out - China's UFO arsenal exceeded both German Empire and Russia's, and recognized China as the sole power of Asia.
