Chuvashia (Chuvash: Чăваш Ен, Chavash En; Russian: Чувашия) is a republic of the Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics located in Eastern Europe. The Chuvash people dominate the republic, and are one of the few Turkic-speaking people who are mostly Christian (the others being the Gagauz and the Yakuts). The capital city of Chuvashia is Cheboksary.
