Columbia, officially the Federation of Columbia, is a country located in North America consisting of twenty provinces and a federal district. It shares a significant land border with Newfoundland to the north and Louisiana to the west, as well as limited maritime borders with Haiti, being bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. With a population of 73 million people, it is the third-largest country by population in North America. The national capital is Williamsburg, D.C. and the most populous city is Baltimore.

With the first settlements established in Henricia by British colonists, the colony grew up to be one of the Ten Colonies, a group of British colonies on the Atlantic coast of North America that eventually rebelled into a proto-state and an almost successful rebellion, which was suppressed by the British Empire. In the 19th century, after a series of negotiations with the United Kingdom, the provinces agreed to form a Federation. Later, colonies part of the British West Indies would be merged into the country.

Columbia is a federal semi-parliamentary constitutional monarchy and a representative democracy. A developed country, and an emergent power, Columbia is the Xth-largest economy by GDP and Xth by GDP (PPP). It is a member of the Society of Nations, World Bank, G20, International Monetary Fund, the North American Union and the Pan-American League. It has significant influence, being considered a great power. When part of the United Commonwealth, Columbia was the leading cultural force, considered the show business section of the Commonwealth, exporting much of its music, art, literature, and film to the world.
