After the Spanish–Confederate War[]
The Spanish-Confederate War began on April 21, 1898, when C.S. President Clifton Breckenridge declared war on Spain. this was due mainly to the mysterious explosion of the Confederate U.S.S. ALABAMA on February 22. The war was brief, lasting only until November 10th, when Spain surrendered and ceded Cuba for a price of $1,200,000 Confederate. Cuba officially became a state on August 12th, 1902.
