Alternative History

The Conference of Hamheung (Korean: 함흥의회의, Hamheung ui Hoeui, Japanese: 咸興の会議, Kankō no Kaigi) is a diplomatic meeting between Joseon and the Ashikaga Shongunate regarding about the partition and division of Manchuria. It was held on 1412, and in the Korean city of Hamheung in the Hamgyeong province.

Background[]

Recognising both the interests of it and the Japanese for Manchuria, starting with the establishment of the Ryojeo province for its part, and the establishment of two trading posts for Japan's part, Joseon shall host a conference between the leaders of both countries to sort claims to avoid potential border-conflicts. Yi Bang-won decides to partition Manchuria simply through the Amur river other key landmarks because while the area has been explored, the area's specifics are not known.
