Cordell Hull (October 2, 1871 - July 23, 1955) was the 15th Vice President of the Confederate States of America and the 15th President of the Confederate States of America .
Hull was the first president to be elected after the Great World War. As a former Secretary-of-State under President Long and Vice President under John N. Garner during the Great War, Hull's foreign policy experience helped him win a landslide victory in the 1945 Confederate Presidential election.
As president, Hull saw the United States elect its first African-American president, the formation of NATO, and the beginning of the Cold War with the USSR.
Domestically, he continued to pursue the social and economic reforms begun during the Long administration. He advocated for national health insurance, equal rights for African-Americans, and signed into law legislation that increased Social Security benefits, while presiding over. what was at the time, the largest economic growth in Confederate history.
