Crimea or the Republic of Crimea is a Communist nation located in lower Crimea. With a large population, mostly refugee's; Crimea has tooken its place as one of the most succesful Communist nations around. With its ecomony finally recovering from a massive depression that started some years after its birth. Its army is well trained and strong, but the navy is even more larger. Food shortages are common in Crimea, although recently its received much needed goods from its neighbors - The Don Republic and the Republic of Ukraine. Although communist, Crimea has tooken some big steps torwards being a republic and has recently accepted a Communist-Capitalist ecomony which is the cause of its economic recovery.
Pre-Doomsday
For many century's, Crimea had been controled by many empires such as the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, the Third Reich, and finally the USSR. For a long time Crimean people had dreamed of having there own nation.
Doomsday
Only Kiev and other major cities in central and northern Ukraine got hit with nuclear bombs, some southern cities received non-nuclear missles that destroyed them (Sevaspool got hit by a nuclear missle, fortunately no fallout struck many cities east of it-example:Yalta. Simferopol got hit by a full-powerd nuclear bomb). It is still unkown why some southern cities such as Yalta were spared, some historians say it was because the European nations did not want to see helpless people die, others say it was because Europe thought that some were no threat (millitary base, etc).
After-Doomsday
'Quick Note - Many cities in southern Crimea survived a fallout from Sevastopol because of many natural factors (Wind,climate,etc); keep this in mind when reading.
The Aftermath of this disaster is obvious - Mass hysteria; this disease was huge and it spread through the streets quickly. Some were calm but many were overreacting; asking themselfs one question: "What Now?" This was answerd by the communist party a year later. Although much of the provisional goverment was in Kiev, a piece of it was in Yalta when the Doomsday began. To calm the people down, the C.P.C (Communist Party of Crimea) tried using words to ease there nerves, but when this did not work they sent in the army to put it down. Although most of the army was destroyed during Doomsday, small parts of it survived and were spread out throught Ukraine and Crimea, but much of it in lower Crimea where quickly brought together.
