Crimea (Crimean Tatar: Qırım), officially the Crimean Khanate (Crimean Tatar: Qırım Hanlığı) is a partially-recognized secessionist state encompassing all of the Crimean peninsula. Originally not recognized by Ukraine, it was formally recognised by the country after a conference was held in Kyiv on 28 May 2022 that after the eventual end of the war, Crimea would be reintegrated into Ukraine as an honourary duchy.
